I didn't believe it until I read this article. Now that it's actually happening, I'm more apt to.

Not seeing your response to swisher. I want to see it!

That's a reasonable explanation. But do you see what we're saying about the differences? For the record, I never ascribed this to malice (you're so nice!). If anything (aside from your explanation) it seems to me that there's an assumption of failure of the Wii-U so a cancellation/delay doesn't warrant as much

If PS4 sales continue to beat xb1 sales, you'll start to see more of this. Publishers would love to have one console win by a large margin. It would save them a huge amount of money. It's in their best interest to marginalize the losers. Welcome to the Wii-U family of dropped games xb1. Nice to have you along.

I'll call nonsense on that. You simply announced it. As opposed to this situation where you wrote 5 times as many words and even questioned the justification of it. No such questioning took place in the article you linked. Where's the commentary about how unfair it is to Wii-U owners? It's not there. Yet, xb1 owners

I'll agree it's the lesser of two evils. No question about it. But I think they pushed multiplayer behind the paywall for one reason, because it would increase the subscriptions. Which means people will be forced to pay twice to play games online. That just rubs me the wrong way. For the people who would subscribe

That's another thing that bugged me. Once MS proved that gamers would tolerate pay to play online, Sony pretty much had to follow suit (or leave money on the table). Super bothered by that. I get that they try to soften the blow by giving free games, or improving services, but I still don't want it. If it's such a

"I tend to get my multiplayer games on PC and my single player games on console."

I'm still pretty heavily in the hobby. I ran public play events for D&D 4E for a while and ran a couple of multiyear private campaigns as well during that editions lifespan. My local regular group has since been playing Castles & Crusades and D&D Next with occasional mini campaigns in Dungeon World (while we wait for

That's a great graphic, but I think it's even too generous. As a PC gamer, I frequently buy games at under $10. I'm a similar bargain hunter on console, but I routinely spend $29 for similarly aged games. Using that math, the payback is much faster and more dramatic. The difference leaves you plenty of money to

Normally, I use my 360 the most (for games), but since I got SM3DW and DK:TF, I've been playing the crap out of my Wii-U again (although technically I use it the most since it is by far the best netflix box out there). So, currently, Wii-U, 360, PC in that order. PS3 mostly just gets used as a blu-ray player. I still

So, based on my comment, how long do you suppose the free subscription is that comes with a Chromebook?

Anyone getting a Chromebook refurbed (like I just did), needs to know that the google "goodies" were very likely already claimed by the first owner. Like the free 100GB of online storage. It was already claimed by the previous owner of the Chromebook I got and there seems to be no way to transfer it. Kind of a bummer,

He updated the post with that after the fact (notice the poor grammar from a quick edit). Probably to make people not feel bad for not reading the original.

Yannick's opening statement makes it clear his notable lack of reading about games is in the non-fiction category. Implicit in that statements specificity is the fact that his reading of fiction about video games is not lacking. So, it follows that his request for recommendations would be in the category where he is

He just doesn't know. Back in the day when a PS2 was $299 and a decent gaming PC was $800, it was true. But nowadays, as consoles have gotten less cutting edge and PCs have gotten cheaper, it's just not even close to true anymore. One other thing that makes PCs more affordable is that you don't have to buy the whole

If you just want a 650Ti, you can get them for $109 at Newegg right now. He's moving the goal post on you because he has to. You could easily build a gaming machine for under $500 that would outperform the xbone.

You are correct. PC gaming is cheaper over time. In my case, it took about a year to pay back and by year two was clearly cheaper. I've saved enough money on games in year 3 to pay for the upgraded video card and then some. People claiming PC gaming is more expensive are just ignorant of the facts.

I just built a very competent gaming machine for a friend for just under $500. Would have been cheaper to reuse the case, DVD drive and power supply but he asked me to put in new. If you know what you're doing, PC gaming, even with regular upgrades is not that expensive anymore. You certainly make back all the money

I'm not a PC master race type. In fact, I prefer consoles. I just like to sit on a couch and chill with a controller. Works for me. And I love Nintendo games. That being said, I do run a PC gaming machine too. And he's right. You can build a PC that will run a game like Titanfall in higher resolution and better frame
