It was really nice when I realized the game wasn’t logging all the time I spent in menu as play time. I have so many games where my play time is inflated because I walk away with it paused or put my controller down to eat without powering down the console.

It was a good weekend. I beat FFVIIR and am already looking forward to another play through. Impatient for the friend I’ve been playing alongside to finish so we can talk about the ending.

I’m late to this ‘cause I just finished the game last night, so Jason is already gone, but:

I’m at the beginning of the end of FFVIIR, which as a friend pointed out is the beginning of the end of the beginning. Can’t really describe how much I’ve enjoyed this game, and it’s likely going to be a rare case (these days anyway) where I dive right back in for another playthrough.

Damon is the ultimate Press Sneak Fuck.

I feel like the only reason they haven’t detailed what the “challenges” are is because they are just more bounties. They don’t want to put that out there ahead of time when they’re trying (trying) to get people excited for this event. If it’s anything else, that’s a plus, but at least they can put a moratorium on

The weather has been lovely for the past week here. Highs in the 60s or 70s, perfect for running. Running and some basic strength exercises are my major outlets in this time. I need them more than ever because I’ve let myself buy more sugary stuff while going to the grocery store than I would normally.

Thanks for all of it, Jason. The work you do is so important, and I look forward to it continuing at a company that is hopefully less seasoned by herbs.

I also had two video hangouts, both somewhat unprompted. My high school friends are terrible at planning, and so I just got a group text out of nowhere Friday afternoon saying there was a call in the works. We did that one over Google Hangouts, which I learned does not work at all on Firefox. Forced me to download

FFVIIR. I came into the week still undecided about whether I was gonna pick it up, but I’ve arrived at Friday feeling very stoked indeed after reading and listening to a lot of reception. We’ll see how captivated I am, but I’m sure I’ll still find time to tend my garden in AC, too. Just got the upgraded Resident

This whole thing has really made me miss the greenway trail that goes by my apartment complex. When I first got into running, I made liberal use of those, but sometime last year they closed the trails so they could do some kind of extended sewer construction. As things are now, I run through the neighborhood, but it

It’s ok, Riley. I know it’s not y’all’s fault.

My simple pleasure is counting how many times I have to refresh a page on this site before the comment section appears.

I’ve watched several hours of gameplay at this point. It seems interesting, for sure. Someone else said that it’s Counterstrike with waifus, which of course means it’s gonna be huge. I’m pretty sure it’s not for me. Learning a tactical shooter is all well and good, but I just don’t know if I’m up for 40-minute

This is the review I was most looking forward to in terms of deciding whether I would pick this up, and it looks like I’ll be playing this come the weekend.

I’ve finally broken down and decided to become a cross animal. Maybe this really is the game for our present moment. I’m gonna find out. I’m low key kinda excited to try my hand at the pixel art design stuff. I know you can grab QR codes for stuff people have made, but I want to try and make a bunch of stuff myself.

This sounds fun. Bloodhound might even be useful for scanning out those prowlers. I wonder if the beasts come equipped with a Select-Fire hop-up.

Also permanent duos is very welcome. There have been a lot of nights lately where only two of our three-man core group can be around, so now we won’t be at the mercy of rando

I’ve stuck with my usual podcasts. Waypoint Radio, Strong Songs, Splitscreen. They don’t stretch out across multiple commutes anymore (mine is (was?) pretty short), but each of them updates on different days of the week, so I usually have something I can put on while I zone out doing work.
