I actually rewatched Cars and Cars 2 a couple of weekends ago and I kept trying to think this through. I think Cars did it right for their style but I also see Torch’s side and it works in some of the old cartoons but I think for Pixar they did it right for them and it worked for me.

My late grandmother had one and we are in New Brunnswick (Canada, not NJ). She had 13 kids and a billion grandkids. Similar problem but mine was on the caliper bracket which I needed to get off to change rotors. Sourced a new bracket locally and cut the f**ker off. Angle grinders are a good way to alleviate stress.
