It does for sure. Also the fact that we can easily communicate the ‘slow down/speed up’ thing helps too.

You can’t forget about dat ass! Yowzers!

Most appropriate but worst typo ever... wow. Tanks for the hilarious comments guys!

On the guy side of things - as god as the release feels, edging has such a place in my solo time because it does seem to build up to a batter orgasm when I can do it with my gf, and she does it to me best.

Have this kit - it was a fun build. I did the factory team car build and my gf built the orange one. It was a great time. The start line setup with the lights is a very understated but cool part of the kit too - staggered light drops for countdown to start time. Really cool kit!

So, one question. Why do oil companies have to continue being oil companies. Especially if to reach huge deposits like this is so hard. Why can’t they take their wads of cash and become companies that build solar panels, windmills and other green industries that can work better on smaller scale and more reliable

A guy at work just had to replace one on his. It was a $35 part online (Canadian anyway). He only did one side to have the other fail a month later. He didn’t know that when parts are that cheap you do ‘em in pairs. Now he does. Said it was fiddly but not intolerable.

Excellent, that’s was part of these guys’ plan. They put it on all their cars new before selling and just expect everyone to pony up for it - even on used car/lease returns apparently. Like the pin stripe Lehto mentioned, only more expensive. Just as ridiculous though.

Exactly it. They were 2hrs away and being absolute dicks about a couple of things. And this was etching the first owner would have paid for, why would I pay again. I’m in a more suitable vehicle for myself now and loving my Forester - Touring trim in manual at that because we still have those in Canada. Apparently

Exactly my line of thought. Thanks for validating I’m not nuts ;)

Exactly what I did, yes. It was the principle. It was a fee on top of the price of the car that was not mentioned til time to close the deal and I’m not the type to roll over for that. Ended up with a more suitable vehicle for myself anyway. I call that a win.

If this isn’t COTD then I just don’t know anymore.

When I was looking for an ‘11 Impreza last summer I was down to the last bit of negotiating with the dealer. They were trying to stick me with a $120 fee for window VIN etching, which was done when the car was new - not at my request. We went back and forth for days and they wouldn’t budge. They were an out of town

The brains were definitely what was lacking here.

My Forester’s filter is top mount like that and unless you take it off before pulling your drain plug then there is absolutely no mess when spinning the old filter off. The oil should be drained out of if and there will only be a small amount clinging on that will end up pooled in the rimmed catcher there. Easy peasy.

Or do your clutch, or gaskets or anything. I did the clutch on my ‘01 Outback a couple of years ago and took the engine pull method. Went really well. Really really well actually. We started at 9am and by the time 7pm came around we had many empty beer bottles, new clutch, oil pan gasket, front struts and springs and

My old Outback’s was underneath but easy access since it was high. Jack/rampless oil changes for sure. But my new Fozzy has the top mount filter and I do like it a lot.

Yeah, I love how easy the old ones were. I mean, they’re no straight six spark plug job, but still. I liked it - get stuff out of the way and do some cleaning while you’re under there.

I think I’m even going to have an issue doing my ‘13 Forester. My old ‘01 Outback was easy as pie really. Had to remove air intake bits and the battery and washer fluid jug but it wasn’t so bad. The newer Forester looks like it’s going to be tight and I may need to jack the engine half a foot to get at it.

Damn man, careful. I don’t need help in spending money I don’t have. I absolutely love these and it is semi-irrational. But look at it, just look at it. Wow! Sexy but not wild like some exotics but still properly quick and a nice GT car for sure.
