^^ Came here to say this. Mid and late 80's VWs had terrible electrical problems. In the mid-90's, my wife had a used 86 GTI, and that thing ate electrical relays like Pop Rocks. She loved the car and drove it like a maniac, but the issues became too much.

^^ This. ^^ Got a spare minute while the onions cook in the pan, wash off the cutting board and knife. When the dinner goes into the oven for 30 minutes, clean up that pot, measuring cup and spoon. After a while, you develop a rhythm and the kitchen is mostly clean by the time dinner hits the table.

Isn’t that the truth. I have lost more pairs of gloves or packed them away and could not find them the next year. I’ve taken to getting the Costco Head jogging gloves when they are on sale every year. Cheap and warm enough for driving and cleaning the car off.

That is a shitty implementation of testing in education from my perspective coming from a family of educators, not necessarily a problem with government mandates in education. It depends on how the testing results impact the teachers and administration. If there is any job security and large incentives or penalties…

I work in an office with a crop of new sales trainees every year, often from a warmer climate than Minnesota. Every year, a sales guys near retirement would take the newbies out during the first snow and teach them how to drive their company vehicle in the snow.

Ha! I was thinking the same thing. I would love to have that snow here in the metro. Just today it is finally getting down to normal temperatures.
