By and large, yes, if you do the withholding right and you don’t have investment income or losses. Psychology is weird, though—my father in law loves to over-withhold and get a big refund. I’ve heard this argument before, but I don’t understand why. Wouldn’t having a light duty pickup with good fuel economy only help the automaker?  Wouldn’t this push the entire model range higher, thus giving the automaker the ability to perhaps not have to worry so much about what the “big” truck gets if the little…
