One problem with approach is that it assumes the better gunman is the more righteous one.
If only these victims carried guns with them in a domestic setting among friends, they would have been able to prevent yet another incoming assault by sensible Americans arguing for reasonable gun control laws.
The only good in this story is the absolute STONES the responding officer had in going inside. We will never know how many lives s/he saved by having the courage to do what 99% of us, me included, would not do.
