Compression is definitely a factor but I think the issue is compounded by the fact that a lot of streaming shows, even “premium” ones, just don’t look that good. Rings of Power, in particular, had terrible cinematography for nighttime or otherwise dark scenes, especially compared with similar scenes in Jackson’s LotR.

Chop is my favourite character in the Star Wars universe.

HK-47 wants to have a word with you, meatbag.

Oh God... Am I starting to understand what Chopper is saying?

Chopper is genuinely calculating. He emotes a lot but in the end you get the sense that he is following the kind of logic a computer designed to backseat pilot a starfighter would follow with regards to the war they’re fighting, my pilot matters, her allies matter, and these dudes in the white armor and the gray ships

Best. Star Wars. Character. Ever.

Interesting. He “talks” a lot slower and almost recognizably than I remember.

In our pre-Ahsoka re-watch of Rebels, wow it’s so clear just how murderous and “do whatever I need to get the job done” Chopper really is. If they wrote him well in this series, he could be a pretty popular character.

Good.

I feel incredibly lucky. On day one of being on Hinge I found my absolute soulmate (was her first day too). We’re getting married next month and we couldn’t be happier!

I think the answer to the question “what’s a prequel character gotta do to get a break” is “be Ahsoka Tano”.

That’s too bad - the later seasons of both are some of my favourite Star Wars stuff for sure... at least check out some key highlights on YouTube or some such... at bare minimum:

the Ahsoka order 66 arc from Clone Wars season 7... Rebels 2x21-22 Twilight of the Apprentice... and the end of Rebels 4x13-16 which sets up

The Historia series looks good. What other books has he recommended?

The fans really liked the [Uncharted] movie, and people who didn’t know anything about the game really liked the movie.”

The advanced previews of Flash were also applauding it as an an amazing film and I refuse to believe it flopped solely because they changed the ending cameo between the screeners and release...

I'm sitting here just happy that no one used "latinx" for anything. Are we finally leaving that to be forgotten?

I laugh every time she has a cameo in someone else’s superhero movie because they play that guitar riff and then she has this smirking, shrugging expression as if to say to the audience, “Oh well, I guess I’m in this one!”

Technically true considering its called Wonder Woman 1984. I mean we have to make 1982 sequels before we even have to watch that one.
