I saw it as part of a Captain America triple bill, and I came out realising this was now the greatest superhero trilogy in cinema for presicely that reason. I’m now waiting to see how Apocalypse turns out. If it’s as good as DOFP then there will be serious competition.

That’s exactly it. When Cap says to him “Do you know why we’re fighting” and Spidey tells him “Tony said you think you’re right, and that makes you dangerous” you know that Tony effectively brainwashed a teenager. OK, Tony thought he was right at the time too, but I hope there’s some blowback from that in Homecoming.

Quill’s probably still got that prosthetic leg in the Milano...

That was Tony reacting in a very emotional, irrational way, despite the fact it wasn’t actually Sam’s fault. It wasn’t a joke, it was foreshadowing.

I know Lego sets aren’t known for their accuracy to the source material, but I really think Giant-Man should have been left as a surprise. It was one of the highlights of the film and I’m glad I didn’t know it was coming.

I’ve never really understood the ‘ooh shiny’ mentality to buying new consoles. I know we need early adopters otherwise the industry will collapse, but anyone who does is basically betting on games that aren’t out yet, given that launch titles are almost uniformly terrible now. I got my Wii U in 2014, in a ridiculous

Or you could just enjoy playing Mario Kart, Splatoon, Bayonetta 2, Xenoblade X, Donkey Kong Country, Yoshi’s Woolly World, Smash Bros, Wonderful 101, Pikmin 3 and Mario 3D World? Sure, the Wii U hasn’t had fantastic support, but it’s got some real gems (I didn’t even count ZombiU because you can play it on other

It does seem to be a very American perspective. They obviously do have a very sensitive history with race, but there does seem to be more of a push for all media, no matter where it’s produced, to now follow American norms and expectations. I’ve seen a few people recently criticise the Harry Potter films for not

I was going to scroll down to look at the other comments, but then some fool posted a picture of Ming Na Wen. I’ve been stuck here for ten minutes. Send help.

Thank you for putting ‘aileron roll’.

It’s fine, Gordon can’t see a thing without his glasses...

THAT’s what it’s for! It’s not a tubby tummy, it’s panther protection padding! That’s what I’m going to tell people from now on, we’ll see who’s laughing when the big cats take over.

I was one of the ones who was a bit more reserved with the Force Awakens, its flaws just seemed more serious to me than they did most people. That shot though - mind-blowing.

I hooked up my GameCube a couple of summers ago to finally get around to playing Pikmin 2. It had been in the wardrobe for at least five years. The internal clock had lost about 8 minutes...

Especially the parts that were suggesting Snyder had the talent or nuance to be consciously drawing a parallel between the cost of destruction at the start of the film and the spectacle of destruction at the end. That gave me a bigger laugh than anything in the film itself.

Then what’s Planescape?

As far as I’m concerned storytelling is humanity’s crowning achievement. The ability to weave fiction as a method of understanding the world around us and ourselves is both a result of, and a reason for, our progression as a species. So damn straight stories are important, no matter what some people may say about a

“Marvel’s heroes you RELATE to. DC’s are the ones you’re meant to look UP to.”

Man, J’onn shifting his size so the sweater fits. Perfection.

I’ve been reading through Sin City again recently, and I think I’ve found the perfect vehicle for Snyder. I liked the first Rodriguez film (still haven’t seen the second) but the flashy style, ultra-violence and general 13-year-old-boy-masturbatory-power-fantasy really feels tailor made for Snyder. He’d be the perfect
