I’m mildly terrified at how much the blind hatred of Philly has subsided. People used to dismiss us as just another Cleveland or Baltimore, so we were the best kept secret on the East Coast. But now, people are realising that we’ve got everything DC and Boston have, and like 80% of what New York has, but we’re…
I feel like Philly got the nod because of cheesesteaks and the fresh Prince
Philly is a great, affordable city with a vibrant arts and food scene. Our sports teams suck but they’re easily accessible. The Pope and the DNC can’t be wrong.
Philadelphia is where the USA was invented so there’s that.
Hmm. I like Austin. I like Philly. I’m weirdly okay with this tie. Thanks for not putting us at #1. People, you read the list. Move to NYC instead.

The food is good (both in terms of indigenous specialties (cheese steaks, Italian porks, donuts, pretzels, all manner of questionable meat products) and in terms of other stuff (surprisingly huge…
Hi. Philly is the best. That is all. I proudly gave it my only 10.
I know there’s a lot of Boston hate on this site and I’m biased because I live in Boston, but there’s no way Boston should be ranked lower than Memphis.
Because Philadelphia is awesome, beautiful city filled with world class museums, restaurants, bars and the world’s very worst sports teams.
Having lived in Los Angeles, Philly and Pittsburgh, I can’t believe the last two could ever score below LA. I admit I’m an east coast kind of person (though I love Yosemite!), but even so, living in Hollywood and North Hollywood sucked the will to live right out of my soul.
