Yes.

This is an old thread, but I want to write it down somewhere.

Small oversight in an otherwise detailed orientated show. Whisky doesn't age In the bottle. A 12yo scotch from 1966 will taste like a 12yo scotch in 2001.

Having seen the film, and having seen Tony Gilroy in the writing credits *and*John Gilroy in the main editing credits gives weight to your assertion about Gilroy having a lot of control over the edit. I doubt he was on Rogue One while they delivered Suicide Squad with all it's re-edits this year. (Though maybe, I

Not sure it'll help with your shuffle, but Apple Music just downloads DRM'ed track to your Music library on your devices. Its seamless. To me, Apple Music feels more like Netflix for music (with office access) than Spotify.

If the assets and environments are done, six months is quite doable for VFX. Plus ILM has overflow contracts with other vendors. And my feeling is the assets and environments were quite far in that process. They wouldn't necessarily be creating new locations.

If Gilroy is still working on the picture edit with under 2 weeks before a global rollout, then the film is in serious trouble.

Is the original cut available somewhere?

A standard director's cut is only ten weeks. At that point it becomes the producers cut for another ten weeks (or so). Then finally the studio takes it over until release.

Not that anyone will care anymore, but we ended up recording a podcast episode about the way that Sansa's choices were presented to the audience vs Jon Snows vs Cersei and how that changes the way we feel.

Counterpoint (if you're a metal head): Opeth.

Of course, In Flames have now become the new LB. Heh.

Remember that time Machine Head tried to do a nu-metal album?

In general, I think S6 has been stronger than S5. But there has been a trend - I think - to the writers contorting (and withholding) their narrative to give shock moments to their audience, rather than giving us information to help us contextualise what we're seeing.

Not sure what editing of the fight scenes has to do with the choreography there of.

As was I! Just given me lots of think about.

Sorry it too me so long to reply. The short version is "I agree", and I think I was wrong to react so quickly to your 'finely shaded character work' comment. Having read your other posts, I think you've got a great handle on how character works and how it works in this show.

I’ve genuinely enjoyed reading your commentary on AVClub, so I wanted to give you the respect of a considered reply. That said, it will be long and I’m not sure entirely coherent, but I will try.

Many of the criticisms pointed at The Expanse could equally apply to The Snoring Dead and Game of Thrones. Game of Thrones character work can be summarised as 'you will be undone by your own virtues' fro the aristolean school of tragedy, often accompanied by an agnorisis. That you feel that it doesn't rise the

I couldn't agree more.
