I don't agree with the two-timeline theory but this would support it. Oh wait, no it wouldn't, since Hopkins is old when he creates that backstory. I really hate the two-timelines theory.

Needs more Wu, too.

Wasn't that kind of a major theme in the second season of Daredevil, though?

The problem with the two timelines theory is that there is no character who would be affected by the reveal. Which means that there would be no reason for it — none at all — beyond duping the audience. I mean, it would be hard to even make the reveal happen considering none of the characters would even be aware of it.

I don't think the maze can be a way out of the park. That would be too simple. I think it'll end up being something deeply ironic that Ford built into the robots' design that leads to the opposite of "freedom." I also think that, considering Lost and Fringe, it's possible JJ Abrams hasn't decided what it means yet.

Yeah, but wasn't Clementine Madame with William during that window when they were replacing Maeve with her?

I think it worked as a nice structure for the pilot to have Dolores reset every day, but that it would have been more realistic if they had set it up that hosts are reset when a new batch of guests arrives. It just isn't realistic that guests would be arriving and leaving all the time with hosts resetting every day.

I see what you're saying but it seems as if the whole point of this place is that it's not predictable like that. You have to be an active participant to get what you want. If you could order up a scenario it seems like you could just play a virtual reality video game, which they must have in this future environment.

I swear to God I thought turkeys could fly.

That sounds very plausible; I like it.

Jordan obsessively dislikes Robert Altman and everyone who dares to say his movies are good, too, fwiw.

Or angry. When someone is trying to get rid of his teacher/lover, say.

Wait a minute, reviewer. PC Principal was briefly shown to be sympathetic, sure, but when did he ever alternate between being wrong and right?

I don't think there's going to be a Cartman "reveal." I think that Cartman's extreme PCness is just how Cartman manifests himself in the opposite world of PC South Park set up last season.

Peggy's blithe unawareness of her inability to pronounce Spanish words was constantly made fun of, for instance.

Atlanta is oddly generic. Southern accents exist there, but a lot of people don't have them. I'm not sure what you mean by Southern, though. I mean, TI, Big Boi, and André 3000 all have Atlanta accents, but they don't sound like each other at all.

Yeah, I cringed. We seem to be pretty alone on that, though.

She's the oldest bot in the park, right? Maybe that interview will turn out to have happened thirty years ago?

I think that type of kid would have been listening to Van Halen in Long Island too, though.

I will keep watching, but I get a bit of a "network tv" vibe so far. I wish there had been at least one or two scenes that didn't have swelling, ominous music in the background; to me, silence is a big indicator of confidence. As is humor — this show is too earnest so far.
