The suit had the diamonds in it.

It's noir written by an English professor. Also, the symbolism isn't crazy enough. It's all been seen before.

That's kind of funny because that WAS a Hail Mary end. The tragic men died but the eternal mother/virgin mourns them and carries their children and their story into the jungle of rebirth.

I've never been to Cali and I found the road trips distractingly implausible.

So Bar Waitress was there to represent All Women. Scarred, exploited, surviving. Helping people in the shadows, outside of the reach of the male arm of the law. And what a saint Frank turned out to be! Not just a good gangster but a saint! Ani and Jordan were blessed to have been touched by these guys.

No, I thought the Venezuela scene was outdated too. And mildly patronizing. Like "It's a South American country so they'll all be dancing around the Virgin Mary, right?"

He always underestimated the Mexicans. I think that, at least, was made pretty clear.

Hahaha — thought same.

Fucking Burris, man. Guy is just one big walking plot hole.

Was Kelly Reilly really good in this episode? Was I imagining that? If she was, what was up with her up to this point? Why was her character apparently supposed to be so zombie-ish?

Jesus gives Peter a chance to make up for it after the Resurrection by having him affirm three times that he loves him. Which this is also referencing. I've come back two years later to mention this thought that has gone through my head.

I understand what you're saying but I don't think this was a world that rewarded good characters and punished flawed characters. I think it's just a bad world. And I do think Pizz was saying something about men vs women; that statue of Mary wasn't there at the end for no reason.

Men are flawed and tragic and women are STRONG and KNIFEY and SURVIVE to tell the tale and nurture the childrens. Of the mens.

It may turn out to be connected to Ray beating the shit out of that reporter. The kids might have been working with him.

Not to diminish your suffering, but of all the times I've giggled imagining your screen namesake saying your comments this is the time I've giggled hardest.

See, that's what I thought at first but he says that line about "I thought it was something else. But it wasn't. It was that." Ugh, that whole back and forth was so vague on Ray's part.

You're right; I forgot it was there when he walked in.

Upvoted because I'm not a fan of silencing tactics.

Actually if you go on some gay and/or lesbian chat boards you will find that SDC's view is not as unusual as all that.

Yeah, I find the Abigail stuff cloying, tbh.
