I completely agree about the relationship between Dolarhyde and Reba. I guess the show is going for something different but it isn't working for me because show Reba comes across as naive to the point of being silly. They also seem to be rushing the reveal of who the killer is and what his motivation is. I assume

I've never mentioned it before either, but this one really got to me. It's not just typos and grammar. Words like "takeaway" and "reiterate" are used wrongly. "Reiterate" is used wrongly twice. Many, many mangled sentences. I especially loved that one sentence with three comma splices — just thoughts randomly thrown

I've read Red Dragon twice and I was wondering if that would be unclear to someone who hadn't read it. I don't think they explained very well that he leaves bites on the victims.

Yeah, it's just the four whole days in the woods thing that doesn't fit, to me.

Once they uncovered the stuff about the diamonds why do you think Ray didn't suggest going to that reporter he beat up in episode one? Hadn't that guy just finished an 8-installment exposé? I mean, just going to him for information.

I don't know who has the hard drive but I don't think whoever shot Ray has it. I think that person was just looking for it. And I predict B.

I just can't see a guy who fancies himself the reincarnation of Jack Kennedy hiding out in the woods with a kidnapped child for four days. It's already a bit of a stretch to believe that Chessani was involved with the commune; I'm stopping with that.

I have this awful feeling she has the hard drive. It feels like it would fit somehow.

I think you guys are being too hard on Coop about that. Donna will not tell him they're not a couple. I remember girls like that, and guys like that. In hindsight it's easy to blame Coop but when you're 16 you are only just learning how to read "the signs."

I thought it went along with his pretending to himself that he's just a normal nontraumatized-by-Nam guy. He's so intent on saying the right thing he can't see the joke.

Yes, his role was bigger. I noticed it too.

I was so grateful for that present-unwrapping scene. That has always bothered me about movie/tv presents. The way the top comes off separately wrapped, I mean.

Fuck yeah, Wet Hot True Detective Summer.

I just rewatched the dream sequence and there are parallels with Ani's experience. Ray's dad says he sees Ray running through the woods, being hunted. "You're small" he says. And Ray's reaction to Ani saying "running out of the woods" was stronger than just a "You're rambling" reaction.

Question: Ray told Ani he was molested as a kid, right? I assumed Ray was talking about being set up to kill the rapist, but I've watched that scene again and I don't think he could have been. He said something bad happened to him and then he said something almost incomprehensible about "I thought it was something

I think a bigger problem has been not knowing what is and what isn't meant to be a reveal.

Yeah, the dealer actually said "You are laundering money here, right?" if that helps.

I see the thematic connection being more that there are no coincidences and there's no such thing as casual sex.

I am going to be pissed off if Jordan turns out to be a femme fatale. Will it really take that hoarily clichéd route?

My theory with lines like that one and the blue balls in my heart line is that they are modifications of lines Pizz has heard or read somewhere else.
