Ok but to be fair how do you whole-ass a line that includes "blue balls" and "heart"?

Well yeah, because he was on the hook to Frank for one thing. That's when he went crooked.

And it stuck out like a sore thumb, just like everything else people on this show say when they get heated.

I seem to remember almost everyone assuming that in the comments after episode one. But I think a lot of people have left.

That wasn't the reason. Ani said "There used to be a commune around here" and then Jesus guy showed up because Christianity Is Just Another Cult OMG.

Right now? Gawker outing private citizens will have the nets tied up for a few days I think.

The mishmash of over and underexplaining makes me fear that the central mystery is going to turn out to be not very mysterious. I smell obfuscation.

Don't let the hater police get you down.

Why would his killing the wrong guy be Velcoro's undoing? Frank doesn't have a moral hold over him anymore.

Did anyone notice that Frank smiled in that second scene in the bedroom with Jordan? That is the first time anyone has smiled on this show. (I thought Vaughn was actually very good in that scene, fwiw).

I'm also putting Ani's sister on the list. When she said "I got accepted to Cal Art" I said "Oh dear. You're probably dead."

I'm this way about gambling and betting stuff.

Wouldn't that amount of "very rare" diamonds be worth a lot more than 5 mill, though?

It's Paul's mother. He didn't know she knew. They have a messed-up relationship that has some…boundary issues …at the least. He has no father and his mother thinks homosexuality is "weirdness."

A lot of commenters after last week's episode said that there better be HUGE ramifications for our cops, especially Ani, after that armageddon shootout. And there were no ramifications. Oh wait, Paul got a commendation. That's it. 66 days after the shooting and all of our characters are just now asking each other

On that earlier episode they did talk about it openly. He said it was something he did for her and she got mad at him as if it was something they had been going over and fighting about for a long time. So he had no problem talking about it to her when it was something he could hold over her? It made no sense, outside

I didn't get hard for McConaughey but I've got a problem with this season too. It's just not good.

Totally agree. But I don't think it was something P was writing a long time ago; I think it's just that he can't shake his influences off enough even to update them successfully.

That was a theory last week. I agreed with it then, not so sure about it now. The show seemed to go into completely straightforward territory this episode and I'm suspecting that the plot is convoluted because there isn't any twist to the murder mystery. I hope not because that would be really boring.

Ha. The initial comment was deleted but I'm gathering from the ones replying to it that it's the repeated post about Paul being the killer? Why does that guy repost and delete so often?
