I got the impression from the way Bran's nursemaid talked that it gets pretty damn cold everywhere during a really long winter. And don't even the shorter winters last, like, a year or something?

People think the stuff in the books is just fairy tales, or so I remember Tyrion saying in the first season. I could see them thinking the White Walkers were fairy tale representations of the Wildlings.

It sure didn't sound like her new adviser Tyrion was much in favor of it.

Hmm. Only hopeful in an old-fashioned, dynastic way that hasn't been working very well in the GoT universe for quite some time, though.

And even so they famously had to keep its most well-known battle off screen.

I've recently been rewatching Angel and there's a ton of not only filler but clumsy concessions to actors' schedules on other things. I still love it, but even the Whedon shows suffered from having so many episodes.

5'9" is hugely tall for a female actor.

Most actors are on the shorter side of average. An averagely tall actor looks like a giant. I don't know why that is. Yes, there are notable exceptions, but they are on the whole exceptions.

Olly is around Sam a lot, it seems. Not taking Olly's demeanor seriously shows not just preoccupation but lack of compassion on Sam's part. Or just clumsy writing.

Olly will either kill Sam, which seems unlikely, or try to kill Jon and the way Jon gets out of it will change the game about Jon in some way. I've been thinking about it a lot and I don't see any other options that make sense.

He has a mean little mouth, that kid.

You mean she'll be like Willow on Angel?

I'm thinking there's not going to be a battle at Winterfell this season. Or, if there is one that it's not going to be as big as they've been building it up to be. I don't see how they fit a huge battle in along with this raid of Ramsay's.

You know, I kind of don't, actually, although it seems like I should. The reason I don't is that he tells Cersei the one way out is to confess and then when he's leaving he says "Everything is proceeding nicely" or whatever it was he said. Which made it seem to me as if they've got some kind of plan for

I have gotten no sense from the show that the White Walkers control the weather. It seems to be other way round.

That would be intensely Battlestar Galactica. Come to think of it that surplice thing he wears wouldn't look out of place in BSG.

Tormund was the only person I cared about in that whole fight.

You generally have to get enough support from the people to get the nod from whatever religion the king is supposed to be the titular head of. Kings and the concept of Divine Right go hand in hand, in other words, but there are political ways to get that Divine Right.

The readers killed everyone in my village. We didn't attack them or anything.

Weren't they eating that woman?
