Agreed. Andrew's a nice kid, but Gordon so obviously favors him. Would have been much more satisfying to Jenna or Jimmy to pull off the upset. Really happy for Nathan, though!

In the little time Ayla got this week, it seemed pretty clear to me that she is very reserved and mature. When the pair won the challenge, her face barely registered it, and when the judges were asking her questions, she responded with one-word answers. I think she's just not as expressive as they would like for a…
Completely agree. Ricky is the 3rd winner I've predicted since the auditions (the other two being Melanie and Eliana), and it doesn't diminish the enjoyment at all.
Agreed. The fact that Chehon won over the more fan-friendly "personality" Cyrus was considered an upset that season.
Whenever Rudy does his big, open-mouthed heehaw laugh, he gives a distinct Lennie vibe from Of Mice and Men. While Cat's reading off all the voting information, he stares into camera, eyes as wide as dinner plates, pleading "You ain't gonna leave me, are ya' George?"
"Frida and Cal" = Frida Kahlo. Discuss.
The only thing worse than the greenscreen was Sam's ridiculous "I'm so mad" pouty face that he was making during those scenes.
I'm really glad they wrapped up the dungeon and vigilante story lines - both were turds. It also gives me hope that the rest of the season will focus on more interesting things: Newlin, Eric's resolution, Bill and Sookie (I happen to think Bill is more sinister than he appears), and possibly a reveal of what happened…
Roger Ebert's review of Tree of Life was better than the actual film.
I like Previously.tv - run by the same folks who started TWoP. The reviews aren't as in-depth as the ones here, but they review every episode (and provide video clips of each dance), and the forums are higher quality than you normally get for shows like this.
I think Malene, Jessica, and Tanisha are pretty memorable, based on strong routines for the first two, and a relatively distinctive appearance for the latter. But you're right, none of the other women really stand out (and a several of them have similar names - Casey/Carly, Jacque/Jourdain). Last season was all…
Great review! It's nice to see some decent coverage of the show on this site.
Yes, but do you have the World's Largest Cubic Zirconia?? Well, DO YOU?!?!
Nice review, but I think you're being a bit too hard on the show using straight couples instead of same-sex ones. I actually read it as a clever take on the idea of "traditional" marriage, which really only means "opposite sex" marriage to those who trot it out as something that needs "defending". Once you realize…
One of the better Oscar moments in recent years. Deserving winners, and a great move to give Irglova time to come out and say her Thank Yous. Soemtimes, the Oscars actually do things right (usually after f'ing up the first time).
It's just a little soggy! It's still good! It's still good!
Harry/Hermione or Ron/Hermione? How about None of the Above, or possibly All of the Above?
Some Hollywood deaths are just sad, while some are also a real loss to the arts. This is a real loss. He was one of the greats. RIP Mr. Hoffman.
I don't know….I like Fat Schmidt. Maybe he needs to make a comeback.
Poor, starved AV Clubbers - please enjoy this far superior recap: http://previously.tv/top-ch…
