Yeah, I heard it was a decent game, but it just didn't sell. I played the demo, and it was a fun game. But I have zero interest in UFC and, generally, I view the UFC as the lamest of MMA leagues. I think there just wasn't really that much of a market for UFC games, despite what Dana White and his "we got a reality TV

Thrashball would be awesome!

It's also because this is often right before quarterly earnings wrap up. It's a great way to quickly skew the numbers in your favor before having to talk to the board.

I don't think you really understand how E3 works... Because, yeah, it doesn't work at ALL like that.

It's a fool that looks for logic in the chambers of the human heart.

That's not the fault of capitalism, that's the fault of poor management.

I fully admit I had to look this up, as I haven't played a wrestling game since the N64 days, but apparently WWE Smackdown vs Raw series is developed by Yuke's, a Japanese developer. THQ only publishes the game and does not own Yuke's. Also, Yuke's is the dev for Power Move Wrestling, which was and somewhat still is

I'm sure that, if they could, they would like to keep the studio. THQ isn't doing very well, financially, at the moment. Unfortunately, they need to cut expenditures to keep afloat. It sucks, but the alternative is losing money just to have these guys make games that, honestly, are not earning a decent enough return

I prefer Obviousman, myself.

What is that picture from?

The other dude's name is Zampella. And, hey, turns out people were right about Activision being the dicks in that case.

I don't think you know how to properly use that.

I would hope that's just you injecting some hyperbole. While consoles are lagging behind the power of high-end gaming PCs, the tech being used in consoles isn't really all that far behind. The 360 had, basically, an R520-based GPU (ATI x1800), which was current for its year of release. (the NVidia equivalent was the

The 360 is, basically, DX9.0c with a few features from DX10, but it's closest to DX9.0c. The PS3 and Wii both use OpenGL. Most likely the Wii-U will use OpenGL as well. However, yes, it's probably due to more modern tech and how much more efficient it is.

UTC is the accepted format, anyways. EST would be -5 UTC, EDT would be -4 UTC.

I didn't think it was terrible, it just wasn't that great. The gameplay was okay, felt a lot like Fable but a bit smoother. The quests were generic MMO stuff and, from what I understand, the enemy types never really varied. People also complained that it was way too easy. It also had a hefty $60 price tag, whereas a

Ah, okay. I thought that was it, but thought I should make sure. And I am little buzzed... :p

Derp. That's supposed to be Government Accountability Office.

I'm a little bit confused by that article. In it they say that Schilling stated he had invested "$30 to $35 million" in 38 Studios. Then they have the update of him paying himself back $4 million from the RI loan.

True. It wasn't terrible, but I didn't find it good enough to throw down $60 for it. It really did feel like Fable gameplay stuffed into WoW's style guidelines and MMO structure.
