@Erik Huntoon: "I would rather sink cans of PBR on the lake with my dad than ever drink a craft beer with you."

@diedan: They shut down a mead thread? Wow... Yeah, the "beer only" thing was a bit much. It would've been great if they had an "off topic" forum.

@develin: Yeah, 08 and 09 were a bad departure for the series. 10 seems like it's going back to its roots. Worth a rental.

Is it just me, or does the pitch always seem so much smaller in FIFA than in Pro Evo? Pro Evo seems like they have the size just right. EA makes it look like they're playing on a (American) football field.

@diedan: I enjoy Belgians, but they're sometimes just so cloying, espcially when US brewers try to mimic the Belgian style. I hear ya about the weizen kick. I need to find some of Southern Tier's (imperial hefe) HeavyWeizen around town. I miss that stuff soooo damn much. Which reminds me... I need to get ahold of

@sentroshi: No, you do. Jaffe said so. ;P

@illiniphase4: After I shaved my head so my hair could help soak up oil, I constantly heard the joke, "so, did you shave your balls, too?"

@rudgerlight: Whatever. People shat bricks over the Exxon Valdez spill. They forgot years later. When BP stock drops to $20 a share (probably sometime after all of the hearings), I'm buying 10 shares. Then, years later when everyone has forgotten, my shares will be right back to their $90-$100+ price. BP is the 3rd

BTW, for all those wondering about EA's exclusivity; it may be in jeopardy.

@Delano_J: Yes, it does expire. As it stands, to my knowledge, EA has NFL rights through the 2012 season.

@ZFK: @dandank: While not a Brit, I and my friends simply use the term "PK." So, it'd be:

@SANTA_ANAS: Actually, that is a very common misquote. Eisenhower never said any such thing, and he never warned against the "military industrial complex" (the term which he coined). He warned against the improper use of a military industrial complex and warned that the citizenry and officials of government would be

@Nocturnal1: Yeah. The GTX 285 and 4870 are sooo outdated!!! Hello, the 90's called on their 28.8k modem and want their PCI Monster Fusion back!

@Auouywonz: I don't think that's why the game sells. Yes, the dialog, acting, art and everything is ridiculous and rather shoddy, but people buy games to play them. Gears has some of the beast controls I've ever played on a console game and they're very intuitive.

@reverend_green: Horde is uber stupid fun. Simple, no bitching about teams having advantages, etc. I play local split-screen with my roomies all the time.

@Jonn: I just hope that, in addition to keeping things "fresh," they also spend some time to make the storyline and set pieces actually coherent. The gameplay is great. It's the only reason why I play Gears. The control just feel right and are very easy to pick up. The storyline though... ugh.

@Nethlem: As a regular PC gamer with an extensive list of PC titles, I see absolutely no appeal in having to pay a subscription to play the games I've bought. I'd rather just use Steam on an actual computer. I'd also rather be able to play at my native 1600x1200 resolution than the maximum OnLive offering of 1080

I clearly remember the days of the Genesis vs the SNES. I had both. Genesis was better in some ways (faster processing) and the SNES had its advantages (larger, richer color pallet). Basically, SNES looked brighter and more colorful, while Genesis games tended to run steadier (no slowdown while displaying tons of

@Emiraven: Yes, because it certainly could never be actually true. Even if there is incredibly heavy evidence supporting their argument. Never. Because that would involve admitting wrong doing. And "admitting" and "owning up to one's responsibility" is certainly one of the major parts of a pirate's pedigree.

@origosis: Buy a fucking iPod Touch (or iPhone) for SNES ROMs. It probably costs less (if not the same) and does more.
