@SuperSkunk: Logic does not belong to the pirated mind.

@subnet6: The thing is, if most people can easily get a hold of software without paying for it, they will. I can't opine too much on whether the PSP was weak or not when it came to security (my gut would say "weaksauce!"), but my gut also says that shady assholes will be shady assholes to fuck over whoever they can to…
@hagren: It should play and feel like a dream. I've never been disappointed with the controls for an id game. They always seem to feel just right. I wish I could say the same for Valve, but Half Life 2 and Portal both suffered (IMO) from a heavy case of "character on ice skates" syndrome.
@Kowl Slaw: I really didn't like it either. Single player was boring as hell (felt like playing an MMO by myself) and the multiplayer was a PITA with its obnoxious handling of missions.
@Troubadour: It's cool, dude. He acknowledged them right before he died. He did not, however, ever apologize for his pro-segregation stance and his Presidential running platform of "keep[ing] the negro race out of our swimming pools."
@MrNose: I can't speak for others, but The Old Republic isn't so much tickling my fancy as voraciously molesting it.
@JustJake: You are correct. The other studio was Free Radical. Once BF3 got pulled, they had to close. FR also said that the engine "died" with them. The game was using a technique to seamlessly transition from ground, air, space, and back all on the same map. Sounded like a really cool idea and a lot of fun. It seems…
Hunter! Sappin' mah incendiary ammo!
@Chon: But... People don't pirate console games. Only PC games. Everyone knows that. Yep. It's certifiable truthiness. Nothing to see here. Move along, move along...
@technotemplar: "The Iraq war was fought to topple a dictator who used WMD's on HIS OWN PEOPLE."
@yhummo: Having talked to actual soldiers, most recently a Ranger who served two tours in Iraq and one in Afghanistan, many will tell you that there are the level headed real soldiers, and then there's the video gamer kids with a gun.
@Omnimon: Even a good lawyer can't stop the tears. Looks like kiddo had a good cry before his mugshot.
One of Electronic Arts strategies will be to release what they call "premium downloadable content" on the Playstation Network and Xbox Live for $10 to $15 and then later release the full game for a full price,
@Shinhideaki: They do add content as well as balance and bug tweaks.
IMO, all of those are pretty terrible.
@Shinhideaki: While their business model is via expansions (and micro-transactions), their update model is more like any other MMO out there. When constant skill balancing was done (GW is very PvP-centric) there were updates at least every week. There are still updates every couple of days or weeks, but skill…
@blackswordca: Well, except that going to the movie theatre is a huge rip off.
@chilemaniac: Read up on Guild Wars. It seems like SW:TOR is thinking about using somethign similar to their pay model.
@dtalon03: Why? Have you ever seen or know about how Guild Wars runs it's game? They use a combination of expansions and micro-transactions. The micro-transactions are for trivial things like and extra panel of storage, renaming your character, hair styles, etc. It's not game-breaking in any way.
@Rampage: Well, it's likely a multitude of things.
