@Archaotic: Aweseome. It's about time MGS came back to the PC.

@ray89: Now if MGS3 can just come out for the PC. Come on! MGS 1 & 2 both did...

@nago: Exactly. I'm sure MS would rather have developers talk about their games. MS is there to promote their own products, not to do PR for every other dev out there.

@Brocklesocks: No. Valve bought up Turtle Rock and folded them into Valve. The game was developed by Valve.

@CoyoteGamer: I really, really hope they do add the 4 original maps. It would make L4D2 a much bigger game, a much better value, and much easier for users. They should also put in options to play as the original 4 survivors, too.

@Etheris: If you read the IGN article, it tells you a lot more. They've added ammo types (such as incendiary rounds), changed the way the crescendo moments work (making them less "hit switch and wait it out"), a new game mode, and apparently are thinking about adding the original 4 campaigns.

@OoBaSNoRk: I'm sure there is. Bioware tends to be good about that kind of thing. They know that some of their audience is hard-of-hearing or deaf, or might just like to play with the sound turned off/covered with music.

@wolve: You can still voice chat or text chat with other PCs, it's just that your NPC interactions will all be voiced.

@Seanchaen: It's not hard to do, and it generally works rather well. I don't really tend to notice it.

@Rebochan: I think they are only talking about you interacting with NPCs, not other players. I'm sure there will be subtitles, too.

@Slothboy: The funny thing, though, the total number of "more campaigns than the first one" is... you guessed it, 5. So, there will probably be 25 maps.

@HDShadow: Really? A lot of people, including myself, still play it on a very regular basis.

@Etheris: Exactly. I'm not saying that I'm going to protest or that I won't buy L4D2, but this really flies in the face of the kind of ethic that made Valve such a great company. Namely how well they have supported TF2 over the years.

@Slothboy: There were 20 maps in the original. 4x5=20.

@CoyoteGamer: I'm thinking that is specifically is the way the new AI Director will alter paths for the levels. That would mean Valve would have to remake all the levels, which would be rather time consuming.

@Edairu: Maybe they will. I still think it's kind of shady. While they may actually keep releasing DLC for L4D, this announcement seems to imply that L4D is done with come November.

@Sabbatai: Or if they released it for free which ..why? Would you give me months worth of work for free?

@EntropySJ: Bullshit. This is sounds like a bunch of modded content that should be an expansion pack. This is exactly the kind of shit people complain about with Activision and EA. This doesn't sound like L4D2, it sounds like L4D1.5. I love L4D, but this seems like a load of shit.

@pointsevenone: Oh, I completely agree. It's a slap in the face to all their customers after they said L4D would have a strong and long lifespan with regular DLC. We got 1 major update and, it seems, that's going to be it.

@pressstart: Well over half of them are calling shenanigans on this move, noting that it should be an expansion or DLC, but not a new game. There's always the blinded fanboys, but most people are calling this move exactly what is: complete bullshit milking of the L4D franchise.
