Those concerned with Conan, Leno, or Letterman are missing out on the real late-night comedy that is Jimmy Kimmel. He blows all three out of the water.

You may be pretty modest, but I've been told that I'm the most modest person in the world, and it's hard to deny it.

I know far too little about electricity to ask an intelligent question, but I do wonder how well both the job of the man repairing the line and that of the helicopter pilot pays.

Since this is actually relevant, I might as well say that Breaking Bad is an incredibly good TV show. It presents such a good story and the suspense it creates is really heart-stopping. I can't wait for season 5 and 6, which means it'll be a while until the series ends. But I'll definitely enjoy the journey.

Someone should offer a website where you can put in your CC number and find out if your card is affected, like we had for gawker accounts a while back.

Holding up a device this big to your ear is almost as silly as taking pictures in public with an iPad. It's just utterly impractical and ridiculous, and it's really unnecessary. Most people who bought this thing are buying it only to "stand out" and to seem like they have the newest, coolest thing. But they will soon

Everything tastes better with beaver anal glands. It's just the natural choice.

For those who'd rather watch a video, here's a good one from Evo.

I'm not sure if you're actually serious, and I wouldn't want to start a heated argument, but a light, nimble car like the BRZ is considered to be more fun than muscle cars on roads that have turns in them. There's more to a fun car than just speed/power.

But I think the Volt is still limited in appeal to those who care about the environment more than their wallets. The MPGs are not the selling point of the Volt for me (and they're probably not for most people buying the Volt, otherwise they'd get a Cruze Eco).

So you're saying the biggest competitor to a $40,000 car is a $20,000 car that's similar in little beside size and manufacturer?

It might strike you as a surprise that at least one person read Mr. juansmith's comment in its entirety.

Well, I would trust AT&T because it's their measurements of network usage that count when it comes to your bill. If their measurements differ from those of your iPhone, then either the iPhone is overlooking some usage that AT&T wouldn't, or AT&T is doing it wrong. In any case, it's probably good to take it up with

I'd tend to trust AT&T's measurements more than your iPhone's, since there might be usage that your iPhone doesn't account for. That's definitely a possibility if you've jailbroken your iPhone. The usage counter might have also been inadvertently reset if you've upgraded to a newer version of iOS and didn't restore

Have you tried closely monitoring your usage with an app like the one At&t offers for the iPhone?

Obviously, your purpose for running your computer non-stop is much more noble than that of the majority of users who might do the same. Some people just want to manage their downloads when they’re away, which is waste without very good justification.

You can't say drifting, especially with precision, e.g. very close to another car, or to obstacles/people (as Ken Block does in his Gymkhana videos) doesn't take driving skill.

The fact that it uses less power than your TV says very little. In fact, it's completely natural that a laptop use less power than a TV. But I wouldn't keep either on non-stop, as the power consumption would surely add up to a meaningful amount over time. Plus, it just feels wasteful.

That actually seems pretty enticing. I might give it a try at some point.

I assume that when you lock it, the computer is still awake, so that you can use software like Splashtop. In that case, that's quite a bit of energy being used. Plus, it's a lot of wear on the laptop's components (HDD, fans, CPU, etc.).
