My point (which I should have articulated better) is that many people were upset last week not because they find sexual violence disturbing in-and-of itself, but because they didn't like a deviation from the book that "ruined" Jaime's character arc.

This episode will help discern whether last week's outrage was legitimate concern about the show's depiction of sexual violence, or indignation that a fan favorite/heartthrob was shown in an extremely unflattering light.
I can't believe they slapped on the series' money shot (Deb finding Dexter mid-kill) at the end of this horrendous train-wreck of a season. It seems like the writers realized how badly they'd botched this season, and started throwing anything against the wall in hopes that it would stick.
I usually don't read television reviews. But this latest episode, watched immediately after Homeland's "The Vest", made me doubt my TV sanity. This series was once good, right? And is the current season really this bad?
