A friend of mine did that once, but learned his lesson the first time. He wound up with an SVO Mustang.

Ebay is bad as well. A friend of mine woke up one morning with a hangover and an SVO Mustang on its way.

One time I visited a friend in the middle of nowhere in the midwest. When leaving, I fired up my trusty GPS, turned on some tunes and drove off down the 2-lane backroads to the nearest interstate to get me home. After a while, it seemed like I was on backroads for longer than I had been when I went there, but then I

This sounds like my experience with Wells Fargo. I had an account with them and wasn’t happy dealing with them. I went back to my old bank and apparently forgot I had something like $25 left in an account I thought I had closed. A year or two later I get a phone call that I owe them money, and I’m very confused

Sounds like the salesman I talked to when I was looking for a V8 Camaro or Corvette. He tried to tell me a 4-cylinder Tiburon was just as fast. ‘It’s like a little rocket!’

Skinless? Ewwww.

Could I daily this in an area that gets a few good snowstorms every year?

It still works of you want a specific car. I’ve done it a couple of times. You just have to be ok with letting the car go if they won’t come down. There will always be another one. Unless it’s something everyone wants, but has limited production. Then you might be stuck. Think Mustang GT350R or 911 GT3 RS.

I’ve found the Delco’s work best on my S10's and Cobalt. I’ve tried a few expensive brands and they’re definitely not better. Sometimes worse.

Have you been in the new Chevys and Hondas? My wife knows nothing about cars and wants a new small SUV. She got in a new Honda HR-V and CR-V and thought they both were cheap junk. This weekend she got in an Equinox and loved it. I’m not sure I agree with her opinions, but I can’t argue that the Hondas are noticeably

I like the Camaro suggestion, but my idea would be an early Z3 or an NB Miata. The Miata, of course, has endless aftermarket support, but it would be a little more expensive to buy. I’ve found a few decent Z3's near me for under $3g. They’re a little more complicated to work on and parts can be expensive, but stock

Having worked for dealerships for years, Automotive Shop Floor Cleaning School consists of ‘Push this button to turn it on.’ and ‘Clean the floors.’ I’ve seen people who only speak English ‘train’ people who only speak Spanish. I’m sure there’s no part covering gasoline on the floor, especially considering gasoline

I can see this as being an argument for the typical dealer sales model. If he had brought this car to a regular service center, they would have told him the problem was due to his bald tires. If he tried to trade it in without bringing it to service, a decent salesman should have told him that he only needs new tires,

I asked a friend with a Honda Civic about this and she said ‘Oh, I might have gotten a notice or something, but I don’t think it’s one that needs the airbags fixed.’ She has two kids, a long commute, and has gotten into a couple of accidents lately.

One time when I was driving through downtown LA in my old S10, the serpentine belt blew off while I was on the highway, so I took the nearest exit and rolled it into the closest open spot on a side street I could find. I wasn’t looking to drive far with no alternator or power steering. I knew the belt was only about a

San Diego or LA are great for that. Fairly stable temperatures all year. Winter weather gear comes out at 60 and everyone hunkers down in the AC above 85.

The unsuppressed HTI reliably takes out non-armored vehicles with one shot for me. Especially those pesky civilian vehicles that always get in the way. My only gripe is that even with the advanced suppressor and maxed out vehicle damage, it won’t take them down with one shot suppressed.

I don’t believe it. I looked at one of these at a dealership one time and the salesman told it handled like a go-kart and accelerated like a rocket ship! I didn’t get to see for myself since I left shortly after he uttered those words, but he couldn’t have been lying, could he?

I do that flight a couple times a year and that’s been the average for a few years now. If you’re lucky you can find it for $200 each way.

So does this mean we’re getting a split-window pickup from Chevy soon? That would be awesome.
