I wouldn’t say this rule applies since all the ‘fooling’ was basically being done at the same time. At this point if someone develops a new vehicle that works around this system, then the EPA should be catching it.

That house looks like a poor place to house a McLaren. I’ll bet it won’t even make it up the driveway.
4th Gear: I can relate. Of the 6 cars in my driveway, there are two gray, one black, one white, one silver, and one red. The two gray ones were my choices, as was the white one, but I really wanted silver. I didn’t choose the other three cars. I just like blending in, what can I say?
Definitely. If someone sticks to something of a racing line, no matter how creative it is, they’re usually not that tough to pass. Someone who is randomly all over the place and has no clue how to find the quick route around a course is extremely difficult to pass.
I’ve been in both situations and I totally agree. I’ve had days where I’m struggling to be midpack, and I’ve had days where I’m barely trying and way faster than everyone. And then there’s one friend who stormed out in a huff after he spun out trying not to get lapped by me on the 3rd or 4th lap. I never bumped him,…
I have found that not asking questions when anyone tells you something gives the appearance of not paying attention to what they’ve said. I’ll usually ask them to repeat one part or ask a simple question when they’re done to show I was listening, but maybe one thing didn’t come across clearly, even if it did.
Just two. In reply to two people who said the same thing. I started typing a different response, then looked over what they said, and went back and just copy pasted my original comment.
Yes, I understood that. My point was that being head of his legal team, she was in a position to enable this scenario to play out while also knowing how to fully utilize the legal system to her benefit once she filed suit. That’s not to say that I think there’s anything wrong with her actions. I’m glad she benefited…
This reminds me that I’m glad I have tow hooks connected to the frame on the car I take to the track. This would have been so much easier though, and the end result would be the same since I’ve never used them.
Last night, Miss Jafa-Bodden, 47, who left her career in international litigation with a London City law firm to take what she thought would be her dream job as the head of Bikram Yoga’s legal team
I understand your concern, and she very well may have aided in putting him into such a bad position. I think that him concealing assets and fleeing the country had more to do with the size of the judgment than anything she may have done. If you attempt to lie in court and/or flee the country to avoid a lawsuit, the…
I didn’t mean settlement in that sense, so I guess judgment would have been a better word.
I had to Google that as well. I wonder if the movie is based on him.
While the settlement surprises me, the fact that it’s awarded to the head of his legal team really doesn’t.

This reminds me of the physical mementos left from my family members, which take up more of my house than they should. And it makes me wonder what I’ll do when I have to go through my father’s stuff. He gets new computers when he runs out of memory, so there will be tons of things to go through. He’s a lawyer, though,…
I grew up Baptist and had a lot of friends who were raised Catholic. Not everyone still follows what they learned as a kid, but I can’t think of anyone who thinks any of it was particularly bad.
As someone who was raised in a Baptist church and still fairly involved, I still regularly give the ‘Wait, you’re kidding me, right?’ look to my Catholic friends when they tell me about their faith. My one Muslim friend talks about his religion like all Muslims are crazy, but it’s relatively sane compared to the weird…
I totally missed this, but discovered some of these things on my own this year. I did great on July and September’s challenges this year, but I’m struggling with March and I need to get a move on November. Thanks for putting them all together so that I can continue working on them!
