Sorry, but I learned it was wrong to give people special treatment based on their race, gender, or sexual orientation. Period. I don't support white's only golf clubs, affirmative action, homophobia, or women's spaces. History simply doesn't enter into it: you don't discriminate on any basis other than individual

Yeah, because lord knows double-standards are NEVER problematic...

Particularly revealing when applied to "Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)".

I find all of the "express dominance" and "to oppress women" type answers here simply hiLARious! I mean, not only is it a perfect self-parody of a certain strain of feminist thought (ala Poe's Law), but it's so wildly off-base and downright silly that you just have to laugh.

I whole-heartedly agree. St of Killers is my alltime favorite mystic badass. "*PTTUI!*... not enough gun." indeed!

I think I may just possibly be the only person in the world with fond memories of playing E.T. repeatedly and enjoying the hell out of it. I mean, I was a wee one, of course, and also liked "Gilligan's Island", but E.T. was one of the first games where I felt a true sense of accomplishment upon completion. (Hmm. Also

OK, that "Type like a hacker" page is one of the best things I've ever seen. I feel like I should have a projector pointed at me, tattooing math symbols across my face while I say things like "Now to packetize the firewall and drill down into the dumpdir... HAH! They're trying to spike me! Well, let's see them get

"What we know for sure is what we have from Sony's statements."

That's ok — I was annoyed that Tiamat wasn't on the list. Now SHE was bad-ass! Only thing that made Venger wet himself.

Shhhh! We don't discuss such things in polite company. It's the physics equivalent of bringing up abortion at a Christening.

It's just so nice to have a welcoming community where people can come together to discuss feminist issues. Isn't it wonderful that we can all just talk like this with openness and honesty?

The high-horse comment was directed at the commenter, not the girl, as should be obvious. And I hardly think my two points count as "over-analyzing" her work.

"...a fact that I'm sure will be lost in a frustrating debate that you'll have with some mansplainer at a party in a few months."

Oh fer pete's sake: get off your high-horse. If I were talking to the ten year old in question, you'd have a point. But I wasn't — I was talking to a community of adults who thought this "bored ranting" was worth discussing.

I would say that sony doesn't own anyone anything, it's a free service, BUT... the whole DRM thing blows that position outta the water. If they are going to demand that you connect to their service to use the software that you've bought legally, then they are obligated to provide that service to which to connect.

Two points: the boys weren't asked "What's the difference between ALL boys and ALL girls?". Thus the whole "But _I'M_ not like that!" cry is just noise with no meaning for the question. Second, it'd be nice if she'd actually, y'know, offered an answer to the question herself.

What, no Agatha Heterodyne?! For shame!

Sir or Ma'am, I never said you were an idiot — I said you were _wrong_. In the future, please try to avoid such a hostile tone.

Ok, you seem to have some... frankly bizarre ideas about how these games are played. You are making judgments about subtle and emotional issues and it seems like... well, have you ever actually _played_ these games? That is: is your opinion an educated one?

Sigh. I'm really glad I've only seen the director's cut. I really liked that ending.
