Nope, just got to the post office and buy a migratory bird stamp. should be $15-$20. have a hunting licence and follow the regulations in the province your in. Seasons normally sept - jan i think.

you Can totally hunt Canadian Geese. Most places its 5-8 per day and bag limit of 18-24. I don’t know you would want that many. But they are sure fun to shoot, terrible to pluck though and ok ish to eat. Just buy a Migratory bird license. The worst is snow Geese, you can shoot 20 a day with no limit
