This has been pointed out to Jez writers before but they conveniently ignore it because it doesn’t fit their irrational-hatred-of-Pete-Davidson agenda. Nor does the fact that with his mental health issues, it makes sense for him to have a close relative living nearby.

I think it’s important to note that Pete lives in the basement of the house he bought for his mom, not just “his mom’s basement.”

I think that looks very much like somewhere a single 26 year old dude would live. Hell, it was even cleaner and better organized than I would have imagined.

He is young and single, if he doesn’t want his mom decorating for him he’s going to go according to his own taste and that’s that. I saw an episode of MTV’s Cribs and I think it was Jerry O’Connor said he decorated nothing in his house his mom did everything. It takes time to acquire taste and he’s still in his 20's

hes just a a goofy, self deprecating, funny kid. I dont get all the hate for him unless theyre just jealous people who thinks he doesnt deserve the success.

he’s funny.

Pete Davidson had me hesitating on the door step but Machine Gun Kelly makes me want to turn around, catch a cab and forget that part of town exists.

On the one hand, good for Pete Davidson, but on the other I’m pretty sure he’s one of the kids who broke in to my shed and stole my lawnmower.

The reason he won’t be the next Belushi or Farley is that he knows he has mental illness issues and is a addressing them. He is not in denial and from all accounts, he has a good support system. He’s certainly not everyone’s cup of tea, but he seems like a decent guy.

“I’ve got to go get girls for Jeffrey.”

Same. It is never okay for someone to abuse another person, but when it is a woman setting up another girl/woman for abuse...it feels like such a more profound breach of trust for some reason. A wolf in sheep’s clothing. I realize this is not the reality. Women can be abusers too. But it feels wicked to me. Girls

Sending thoughts of healing to all victims of all abuse worldwide.

There is a tendency to think of men as sociopaths, but women certainly can be as well. I think we assign anti-social behavior automatically to men because of the privilege and power that men easily access, and thus do the most eye-popping damage unchecked.

Agreed. I mean, growing up, I was always told that if something happened to me (separated from my mom, lost) to find a WOMAN to help me. Why? Because as a culture we assume that women are safe spaces; they’re naturally nurturing, and would protect a vulnerable child if faced with the opportunity. Which is what makes

So can she PLEASE be arrested now?

I prefer treating her well, surrounding her with support, getting her therapy...

Nubile was always a vaguely gross sounding word, but now it’s completely and utterly ruined.

The only thing tragic about his story is it took so long to get to the point where the charges are taken seriously.

They could do something like what Stephen King tried to do after getting hit by a van: buy the van, then hold an event where people can pay to smash the hell out of it, then donate all the proceeds to charity.
