SoftKey customization is the ability to change the size / colour / number of softkeys on your Navbar. The default softkey size (48dpi) is a bit screen-consuming for my taste.

On my Nexus I lean towards AOKP over Cyanogen. CM is great, but they tend to stick to the "Stock" guidelines a little too closely for me (the fact they refuse to include SoftKey customisation because it breaks the icon sizing guidelines is a personal gamebreaker).
