So true. And a Francine-Roger episode pairing is when this show thrives. The wig-scheme, “Francine I haven’t been entirely honest with you” episode is amazing.

Fargo season 2 is pretty much a prequel to S1, and as good and fun as 1 is, 2 still reigns as my favorite season of tv ever. So, Fargo S2. Long live Kirsten Dunst.

Yeah this year the number of names coming up seems really limited compared to past years, but I’m not sure if that’s just perception

Sign me up but for Arish

I do see her as a Wolverine-esque unstoppable badass, but I hear you that she needs more quirk or charm to get people on board.

I loved her ever since she took Shadow King down, or the first time she did that.

twigs, Jamila, Lana, Angel, Jenny, Sharon

Shit you’re right, that’s a surprising omission.

Eww fuck that guy then. Malak was a boring as shit villain, whereas Kreia is one of the greatest villains/characters of any Star Wars property. So his pettiness hurt the story.

Oh yeah, I was fully there for a Sith Lord treated like a horror movie monster. It makes the progression from that sort of fear to how the Exile finally “defeats” him that much more impactful

Wish the write-up on Control had said more about the game itself, but I share the general sentiment. For some reason, I root for Remedy, and I’m glad control is slowly but steadily building up attention and acclaim. And it doesn’t just feel good to play — some of the abilities Jessie gets, I can’t remember a game that

That fucking deserted space rock, god. I love KOTOR 2 on many levels, but that opener is torturous.

At least it lets you sit with the dynamic of just the core trio for a while, making it more interesting to track their journey together throughout the game. But that’s the only good thing I’ll say of it.

Its darkness is what makes it interesting though. Yeah yeah, dark does not mean interesting, but in the black and white world of Star Wars, the most interesting parts of the movies are where that narrative gets complicated a bit. And what complicates the Jedi = good, Sith = bad concept better than KOTORII, and who

You forget that their version of a wrap-up is having Kreia tell the Exile the future about what will happen to all of her friends/companions, after she’s been defeated in battle but before she dies. Gotta stay alive long enough to cram in those character endings!

Yeah I was taking it as a given that they would do a better conclusion for the two of them (and one that didn’t do a complete disservice to everything about who the Exile was) than the one that the EU had. Then again, in my ideal world, the two of them are successful in their attempts to confront the threat beyond

Yeah Sion had a good horror movie vibe to him, in that he just. kept. coming.

If they had made the trilogy a KOTOR adaptation, I would have been over the moon. Especially in anticipation of a third movie where they finally explore the friendship/alliance of KOTOR's lead and the Exile.

The overall plot of II is really about the Exile’s emotional journey, and canonically at least, back to the light and to restoring the order. There’s so many things the game’s story is commenting on: depression/mental illness, the aftermath of devastating wars, trauma, survivor’s guilt, nihilism, etc.

The real answer is this could never become a mainstream look because of how long it takes. Trixie does some INTENSE makeup, both in look and time investment.

If you stare into the black void above the white lines on her face long enough, you might catch a glimpse of eye whites as she moves around. So there, just stare into the void.

The themes and core characters of KOTOR II are maybe my favorite in any video game I’ve ever played. It’s a shame that its rushed production schedule led to some production cut corners, which prevent it from being placed consistently on the same level as the original game. But give me the Exile over the [player
