True. You can’t help those who do not wish to be helped. That’s why I kind of want to emphasize the part about starting from a young age. If we all started talking to someone in that sort of setting as a child, and grew up doing it once or twice a year, I feel like it would just be the norm.

You imply that many people or most people are in monogamous relationships because they don’t know any better, they know no different, or that they’re somehow been strong-armed by “society.” All options are problematic to me, either saying we’re monogamous because we are either regressive, ignorant, or without agency.

This is a very problematic topic. For example, if you have two people who both agree that they will marry but will be comfortable with some straying within some specific parameters, then hey! Go for it! I do believe that traditional marriage isn’t necessarily a one-size-fits-all thing.

It’s a refreshing take on musical bio dramas, though. It’s not a bunch of white washed bullshit (cough Straight Outta Compton), it’s an actual insight by using just clips of Whinehouse and all of her flaws. It doesn’t demonize her, she’s a human being who was overcome by her flaws.

I found it worth watching.

She was a very talented musician, regardless of her struggles.
