…are why mothers in the wild eat their young…

Actually, if you look closely at the money as it twirls while floating to the ground, you'll see that the other side of the money is blank.

I guess that's what happens when I Google too fast. Makes my point even stronger, thanks.

I had a sense that the episode would turn out this way. There are never any easy answers in SU, which is both a good thing and frustrating at the same time. Still, I wish the episode hadn't ended in such a forced chipper way. I think, as some other posters have mentioned, that it would have been okay to close the

It's been speculated on other boards that they may also be some type of tracking device for Homeworld. After all, when Steven was in the Zoo how did the Voice know that he wasn't participating in the cleanup/bathing ritual enough to ask him?

My reaction to this episode? Meh. I've just never liked Onion - couldn't get into his personality, which often straddles the border between quirkiness and psychopathology. I also found the constant narration annoying as well.

At least Rose's ginormous and traumatizing head didn't just pop up during one of Stev, uh, Zoltron's fortunes.

Her taste in men is decidedly off-beat. And what kind of gibberish-spouting being is Yellowtail supposed to be anyhow?

Steven's own hallucinating mind may have taken what might have been disappointment, even anger, and warped it into something more frightening, given his moments-before attempt to deal with the guilt of being unable to help Jasper, Bismuth and Eyeball.

I think it's amazing (unless they honestly don't know) that their daughter is walking around (at least outside of school) with a honking pink sword sticking out of her gym bag.

The most startling scene in the episode for me was seeing Rose's angry face suddenly appear, as though SHE blames Steven for her non-existence, even though it came as the result of an event SHE planned. It was both fascinating and uncomfortable seeing Steven cry in a truly anguished way over decisions he had to make,

On an individual level, it's how someone can go from being smiled at by a stranger to being stalked by them. It's a real WTF moment.

Just looking up SU pics on Google can lead to some pretty adulty type stuff. Poor Dr. Maheswaran - the position (literally) she's been put in. And Jasper - always in the height of rutting season.

Hmmm…I have to agree. I came across SU accidentally while watching other CN shows and decided to hang in the Universe Universe for a while. It was real tough going the first season, with some of (what I perceived as) Steven's excessive goofiness and loudness and the CG's seemingly limitless indulgence really grating.
