I personally love this Batmobile, but I find it really strange that the engine is just...open. No protection whatsoever. Some goons find this in a backalley while Batman’s away doing whatever, and it wouldn’t take much to make sure he’s down a car. 

This. I used to buy an almost obscene number of car magazines in the 90s and, even then, it was pretty consistently a 1:1 real world conversion regardless of the dollar:pound ratio. So, this would really be about $35k for this special edition. Real world regular ST would probably be a few grand more than the last. I

I voted NP because I actually think it would be a fun project to finish. Molding some better fender flares, building a front tube bumper and getting the stock bumper to fit. Those are right up my alley.

Do you live outside the US?  The Escort we got here was, as noted in Rob’s article, based on a different platform than the European-market Escort.

I didn’t need to read the description to know which way I’d be voting. To be fair, I did read the description because I like cars and Escorts in particular and this one has features that are attractive regardless of how offputting the whole package is.
