“turn around and take a dump on American communities”
I have been driving a 2000 Ram 1500 since 2003. It has over 200K miles on it. It is such a pain with constant need for gas, oil, tires, and 2 water pumps. I’ll get another vehicle when this one quits.
I’ve also heard them called Windbags.
ah the horrific 70's brings to mind the two-seater that Chevy had. I think it was called the Chevette. The steering wheel was in the center of the dashboard, pointing to the driver and the back seat was optional!
I think it more looks like half a bench for the kid’s t-ball games
and with 4 doors it is not a truck but a family vehicle.
nobody is going to know unless they get stopped by an LEO.
come on!!! GM has always had the pretty trucks. in fact all of GM’s vehicles are just pretty and nothing else. All form, no function.
it’s because the sheet metal is so thin, creases are added to strengthen the tailgate and sides. (see Silverado wheel wells).
The models Ram is showing in this story are xtra-xtra-short-beds. (5 feet) can’t even hold a sheet of plywood. And with the mandatory 4 doors, they are nothing more than a topless convertible family sedan.
it’s because the sheet metal is thinner each year, so they put ‘creases’ in the metal for strength. Look at the Silverado and the wheel wells. The sides would flap in the wind if not for those ‘bends’.
and the tailgate isn’t any better. looks like a billboard!
that is also $6000 more than I paid for my first HOUSE!
