False. He did not say anything about “fear.” He said dog owners don’t like it when somebody else offers their dog treats. What they don’t like about it may vary. If you find that intimidating, consider how intimidating it might be to have an armed response called down on you for NOTHING.

And he was correct, she didn’t like it, any more than she liked being asked to follow the rules. And she was in no way harmed, nor was the dog, nor was there any threat that a reasonable person would consider as such.

Intimidation? By dog treat? You’ve set the intimidation bar very low indeed. Is a dog treat more intimidating or less intimidating than a granola bar? Personally, I find a bag of Cheetos more intimidating than either.

This man is my former brother-in-law, and I know him well. You could not imagine a less violent person or one who would be less interested in threatening some random crazy white woman. Not that actual bad intent or actions would be required to activate this toxic and dangerous form of racist privilege ... just Black
