It was so weird how they decided to bring back both the Indian doctor from the first few seasons and the blond intern in the same episode. As if they were flipping through a book of "characters we could randomly bring back", closed their eyes, and pointed at two entries. It was kinda nice to see the Indian doctor (who

If it's that offensive, how come there were no complaints when he said it on the show? Or in the original comics? Seems a little late is all. I mean, maybe those offended just didn't hear about it until they saw it on a shirt, but maybe they should also just leave merch alone for a series they're not into?

Japanese kids love vegetables (way more than American kids) and I think that they would be able to understand Riley not liking broccoli, but peppers really are the equivalent here. Most kids won't bat an eye over any vegetable in their school lunch, but they always mention/complain about peppers. It just makes the

24 here, not from NY, and I unironically love the shit out of Billy Joel and may or may not occasionally jump on a few people my age who claim to not know who he is. Sorry for doing the devil's work.

Come on, AV Club. "Make [him] look like a real asshole"? He makes himself look like a complete asshole. And he is a complete asshole. Like, factually.

If we're talking actor portrayals, I gotta give Melissa Benoist a mention too. Melissa Benoist IS Supergirl. If you've seen the show, you know what I mean. The show itself isn't exactly gonna be winning any awards for its writing, but it is likable as fuck and Benoist absolutely shines.

This has gotta be one of the least politically-charged and yet highly passionate discussions I've seen on the internet in a while and it's kind of inspiring. Carry on, pizza lovers.

In Japan, they sometimes have things labeled 'four cheese', as in gouda, mozzarella, parmesan, and natural cheese. You know, natural cheese. Whatever that is.

Japan thinks corn belongs on pizza for some ungodly reason, so this is actually an improvement of sorts on theirs at least.

All the good stuff in Mie is very spread out from each other. Matsusaka has some famous beef and Toba has oysters, but I haven't gotten to try either. The Kumano Sanzan are pretty cool. I might be biased though since I live in Kumano, haha.

Nabisco, get your shit together, get it all together and put it on the back of your box, all your shit, so it's together.

Oh yeah, you live in pretty much the food center of Japan, haha. I live in, what I like to call, 'boonies ass' Mie Prefecture. Not much food to boast about here, unfortunately.

I live in Japan too, and boy do I still get excited to try a new restaurant's karaage. It's my go-to festival food.

It's like a slow-motion train wreck. The gawking bystanders don't even notice the money falling out of their pockets.

…I didn't even realize until now that no one commented about that.

It's so frustrating to tune into this show week after week and see it still having the same issues post-season 1 of not quite being compelling enough for me to loudly sing its praises. I enjoy it, but I want to love it. I want so much for JLM and LL's acting skills to be utilized to their fullest ability. I want

Yes! It was so nice to see Debra Jo Rupp. I almost didn't recognize her without that, um, unmistakable tone of voice she has in That 70's Show and Friends.

I do wonder if the Elementary writers' stubborn commitment to the procedural format is what keeps the show at bay from being truly great. I don't remember it hindering the first season as much iirc, so maybe it's just gotten a bit dry as time has passed, but Sherlock could really use a return to form. I've never

I read somewhere once that there was a scene in Sherlock where John had a bunch of dialogue, too much apparently, because Martin Freeman saw the script and said 'oh, I'll do that with a look' or something along those lines. And he very much did.

The scene where Sherlock smelled the contents of the dead guy's stomach (particularly when he had to explain himself in a choked voice) and the scene where he woke up Joan with a series of awkward experimental pokes and pats had me so laughing so hard that I immediately rewatched them. So many great character beats
