I was not a fan of Zero Dawn’s gameplay so I wasn’t going to play Forbidden West and definitely not its DLC, but... Man, how can you just drop this header image right on the top of the article?! The DLC came out yesterday! Editors, please. Don’t let this happen.

Not everybody has the time to breeze through the DLC in one day, who signed off on spoiling this shit?

1) Cool, but pity it had to hide in the DLC.

I’m more pissed at Kotaku spoiling something within 24 hours of release then anything else. But they have to meet their spoiler in Titles quota somehow.

Thanks for the spoiler. I would have found this to be an interesting surprise for a character that has so far not shown any particular romantic interest in anyone.

thanks for the spoiler...

As someone who only played 1/4 of the game (for gameplay reasons), I’m very shocked by this. It really seemed to be lining up an array of bisexual romance options, so for it to just winnow itself down to ONE option (gentleman or lady) is ... odd. That feels to me like a Bioware game where ALL the flirtation is still

The DLC literally came out yesterday and you go and throw a major character spoiler IN THE FREAKIN’ HEADLINE, completely unavoidable. Sooooooooo glad you put a spoiler warning in the body of your article though. Jerk.

They DLC came out yesterday. Do you have to post spoilers in the headline and image?

How so? He was guilty in a federal criminal case, thus the jail sentence and $4.5M mentioned. He then also SETTLED a separate civil case for the $10M figure rather than face a trial over it. It’s two separate cases and one being a voluntary settlement which he thought the better option than the alternative at the

How do you arrive at that conclusion? Property rights are one of pillars of capitalism therefore IP is as well.

The average sentence for Kyle Rittenhouse was 0 months. That’s the best deal going.

It’s hard for me to feel that bad for this guy. You were knowingly making money off of piracy from a company known to be extremely litigious. The punishment is severe because it’s meant to be a deterrent. I’m not a law expert; I don’t know if this level of punishment is typical. But I don’t have a lot of sympathy for

Exactly. People are getting hung up on “it’s ok to pirate from Nintendo! Fuck capitalism!”, which isn’t a stance I necessarily disagree with. But this guy shilled products that were actively predatory. Nintendo’s lawyers are assholes, but this guy and his associates are scum for holding people hostage as well.

Bullshit. He sold fucking ransomware. The hardware that Team Xecutor sold had software built in that forced you pay a recurring fee or else it would brick your Switch.

The product was Ransomware, which is not mentioned by you. So he is more like a knife salesman selling knives to criminals and then telling said criminals to keep buying his knives or else theyed take all the knives away. you payed the monthly sub or it bricked your switch.

SO LONG GARY BOWSER

The average sentence served for people found guilty of statutory rape is 30 months

Live look at the legal battle between Nintendo and Bowser

It’s definitly an obvious outcome to doing something criminal like this. So it’s definitly a “play stupid games, win stupid prizes” thing.

But at the same time, I don’t think the punishment is suffient or ethical either. The whole thing is just depressing on so many levels, lol.
