I'm not saying Nintendo's response was the right one, because it wasn't, but I do think it makes sense. These aren't PC games; using mods requires breaking Nintendo's terms, because you have to either emulate the game or mod your system.

I’m sorry but how do you not know how Nintendo operates at this point?  This should not have surprised him at all nor anyone else.

Been wondering the same as to why people still act all surprised and offended whenever this happens. Nintendo’s stance has been quite clear and you’re walking on thin ice if you decide to base your content on modded stuff. They should be well aware of the risk of getting caught in the enforcement policies.

I am wholly underwhelmed. It looks like Devil May Cry got a FF skin. I’ll probably still play it and give it a fair shot, but I’m not a fan of the direction the mainline series has been going since FF15.

To be fair, 13 and 15 disappointed so many people that it’s not hard to understand why people would want a turn-based FF again. To them (and me, sorta) it’s the last time the series really shined.

Other than for clicks for the article, on what planet is Elden Ring a “samurai game”? Just because there’s a samurai build? You seem to mostly be talking about PvP as well, which would make it even less samurai oriented.

Why Elden Ring not Sekiro? I know Sekiro is more of a ninja game than a samurai game, but there are objectively more samurai in Sekiro than ER by a mile. And the parry-based combat is very samurai-y. I wouldn’t say no to ER being on this list, but at the very least Sekiro should be, too.
