You know what the difference is? I can stand in front of the camera, and kinect can measure the relative distance an object is. Whereas the eyetoy is just a webcam, and everything is done via software.

Motion recognition isnt stereo vision, stereo vision gives depth. The only relation between the eyetoy and kinect is simply a camera, which has been around for decades.

A webcam is not a kinect. the Kinect uses two lens to enable stereo vision. Fanboys that can't make the distinction are idiots. Its like the snes pad with modern analog sticks. If you wanna go the webcam route, sony ripped off the original gameboy.
