I wish the animation was cleaner and there were more episodes to give them time to flesh out the story. I appreciate them for showing Black men as men and not some caricatures. LaKeith Stanfield should stay away from voice acting, or practice more. I would be happy with either. 6.5/10

I just wish they had left all the magic/robot stuff out and made it more historical instead. But I guess that’s just my personal taste.

Too bad it sucked and was barely about Yasuke. Instead of exploring Yasuke in Japan the plot revolves around some some magical mcguffin kid, with Yasuke relegated to action scenes, and any interesting exploration of Yasuke’s Japan experience is relegated to “Haha, an African in Japan.” outside of a handful flashbacks…

Man, this show started with a bang (and a kid falling out of a window due to said bang), and went out with a silent fart.

Still can’t believe one of the most popular shows in TV history concluded with maybe the power of storytelling should sit on the Iron Throne and then vanished from the cultural zeitgeist immediately afterwards.

He’d have restored it to when they got it, well before the Battle of New York. I assume that wouldn’t effect the “Loki escapes” timeline they already created.

It was a huge disappointment. Scares were flat and predictable, story was all over the place, and overall kind of a chore to watch. And the worst thing they did was drop in this gem of a cliche at the end (not a spoiler): “It’s not a ghost story — it’s a love story.”

I very much felt like this show wasn’t sure what it was about. And it had that multiple ending thing that Lord of The Rings had.

It’s stunning how stupid you are.
