The 407 (the highway in question) is notorious for this.

We don’t get those up here in Canada.. our cops don’t even get SMG’s.... Unless there are G8’s around...

Replaced the clutch on my ‘04 Neon SRT-4. In my gravel driveway. On jack stands. With no air tools. One jack. Toronto car (re:Rust). Lots of swearing.

The best person at our auto-x events drifts the whole track for the morning.

By the afternoon he is done having fun, and then beats everyone with his superior car/driving skills from having spent so much time learning to control his car on the edge.

I had 3 Neons. A first Gen , a second Gen “LX” and a 2004 SRT-4.
They were great cars for going fast for cheap. As long as you didn’t have the paper head gasket, they were even fairly reliable. Fully independent suspension with sticky tires and low weight. The definition of a momentum car. Except the SRT-4. That was

A nicely loaded Shelby 350 costs you less in ‘Merica less then a loaded GT costs here in ‘Merica’s hat...

That sounds like an Awesome judging panel. Good work Jalopnik crew!

Alright smart guy. I do agree 100%, no, more like 1,000,000%, that winter tires are essential equipment if you live where you get snow, or constant temps below -7°C (or whatever that would be in F°).

However, I have been in a situation where my FWD sedan with snow tires was being left behind by Audi’s and any AWD

Timing belt and water pump, oil catch can - Neon SRT-4

Oil Change, plugs, brakes - Heep

Oh, I am not saying it’s a good idea. I am not advocating for it. When I do work on my own cars, I use jack stands, the jack (not holding weight, just there) and sometimes the old stacked tire trick to keep me from becoming part of the ground permanently.

This is how our local wheel shop does it. I inquired the first time. They said they have never dropped a vehicle. Now they life my neon with 2 jacks, with all 4 wheels off.

Dodge Neon SRT-4, Caliber SRT-4, Mazdaspeed 3 (first gen).. Small, light, fast. Nothing on this list made less then 230hp, and 2 of them made over 260. All of them were rockets for the money, and any of them can be found for much less then $5K now.

What’s with all the vitriol against people who claim that there shall only be sticks, and nothing else will suffice? I currently have a manual Dodge, and I love driving it, but I also love my autotragic Jeep, because it is great for sitting in traffic.

Before moving across the entire country (Toronto to Yellowknife) I tried to sell my 04 SRT-4. I had rolled the car on the track, but I had it repaired by a reputable shop, and had gotten a donor car (2000 LX neon) that was in great shape (with a blown head gasket) which we used the doors, sunroof and front fender

I saw a DC-3 fly over my house this morning actually.
They are a pretty plane, even after all these years.

Bring back Dream Garage!!! Said me and no one else....

Do you feel that the move of Caddy HQ to New York and away from the other brand in Detroit will help them in this regard?

Brz means fast, fleet or nimble in Bosnian, and Brza means the same in Croatian.

I bought a 1998 Jeep GC for $1800 last year.
Chrysler dealer quoted me $3000 to so the seals on the front and read differentials.
