Doug, funny article, as always. However, you're a tad misinformed.

Believe me, Porsche and Mercedes doesn't want to make crappy, overpriced slow-selling hybrids any more than CarMax wants to buy your Ferrari for more than 18% of what it's worth. The automakers have a gun to their heads - The US Federal Government.
