What in the article is giving you the idea you’re required to have an iPhone? I don’t see that anywhere. Explicitly states in at least one location you can plug your physical key directly into the MacBook.

I used to think so too. But my DualSense needs to be recharged like every other day, which is annoying as fuck, and is a pain if I don’t get the recharge cycle right and it needs charging mid-session. I’d much rather be able to toss a couple rechargeable AAs in there and be back at it.
