I backed this! Looks very solid, and the music is fantastic. The creator is also a really nice dude. I'm incredibly excited about the game, and the kickstarter has some good rewards and stretch goals if anyone feels like contributing to it while it's still going. (I'm constantly fighting the urge to up my contribution

I know. That doesn't divorce the acronym from the other BMI, which is why the image being used in conjunction with a story about an eating disorder sort of darkly humorous.

I remember hating on Kesha in one of those shallow "eugh new popstar" ways when she first came around, but before long I realized I'd totally fallen in love with her music. I hope her stint in rehab helped her significantly.

I agree, mostly. The gameplay was more mediocre than terrible. The story was pure cinema drivel - all very predictable.

Definitely depends on the cat. Mine will flop on the floor in front of me and roll around on her back until I give in and rub her tummy. She goes nuts for it!

I like how they had the time to email a blog site, but apparently are too strapped - whether of time or of moral standing - to do the right thing by contacting the new adoptive family, offering them a refund, and then asking that they work with the agency to get the dog back to its rightful owner.

The novel you keep bringing up is not being mass marketed as a fun, light-hearted romp suitable for young teens. Bravely Default is rated 13+ in the US, and 12+ in Japan.

I'm approaching my second month in North Carolina, having come here from beautiful San Diego, and I am asking myself the same thing. This weather is atrocious - and really, basically anywhere has atrocious weather compared to San Diego - and it makes me sit around like a tired slug all day! I hate it! :(

That's less like noting footwear and more like straight-up footwear fanfiction. Dayum!

I've been pissed about that song for years. YEARS. And it irks me to no end to see the articles on here usually talk about her like "haha oh that Katy Perry! So fashionable and wacky! Isn't she pretty?!" until something like this comes up, and it's time for people to break out the finger wags and pearl clutching, as

Yikes. I wasn't really feeling too much for the guy until he dropped the "I would worship you" line - that is some grade A freakmachine material right there, and not in the fun way. TBH I would probably be scared of replying to a guy in the way she did, if he knew where I worked and all - thinking he might try to get

Easily the #1 way I deter myself from buying stuff I don't need. Thinking about where it's going to go and realizing it doesn't have a place in my home is the simplest way to keep unnecessary stuff out of my collection.

I am a woman. The Captain Falcon icon is merely a clever ruse.

Does anyone with a, er... smaller head own a pair of these? I'm always hesitant to buy headsets because I'm fairly petite, and I dread dropping $300 on one just to have it slip off my head at even its tightest setting.

I'm not a parent, but I WAS a kid on the internet at one point, and I think a good internal rule for any parent with internet-using kids is:

Yeah, I was sort of confused by the fact that whoever wrote this contract really seems to hate the idea of their kid talking to other human beings on the internet. It's basically unavoidable, and as long as you teach your kid to be smart about it, not dangerous in the least.

Congrats on your wife's IRA then! Look at it this way: she needed one, and the tax leeway, so despite the lighter pocket it's a win-win.

LOL, my condolences on the license exam - it's sort of ridiculous how expensive it can get just to TRY to get certified for a profession sometimes.

As many people have pointed out: Ancient Egyptians don't exist any more. Their racial makeup is still debated. However, it's overwhelmingly likely that they weren't white, and you get issues more with Katy Perry putting Ancient Egypt on the same level as Japan, rather than her use of Ancient Egypt at face value.
