Ah, you're one of those.

I'm a gay woman, and I am really not okay with it. It's connecting these dots - oh, she's so nasty and hates gay people so she must be closeted! - that makes it sound like, well of course closeted people are bitchy and horrible.

"Lots of people do it, so it's okay!" is a dangerous way of thinking about basically anything.

Except I know more women driving motorcycles than men. And your example falls flat when, meanwhile, in Japan...

It's not just annoying and inconvenient; man hand-designed phones are actually interfering with women's ability to be journalists.

So, did some reading on this story.

Halloween just happened, so, very relevant: this is why I despise those costumes with the muscle padding. Whatever happened to just letting a kid dress up as a superhero? Now we have to make the costume either RIDICULOUSLY GIRLY (see: pink spider-girl) or RIDICULOUSLY MASCULINE (batman costume with sewn-on muscles, in

Pearl clutching over anime on Kotaku... man, the world really has changed.

I said THAT'S NOT FAIR out loud. I really need to get closer to Canada, somehow.

Thumbs sweat, too. Just imagine playing a game for a few hours, your thumbs starting to slide around inside those depressed discs. Gross.

And I don't care that you don't care that I don't care. I'm just continuing the conversation for the sake of perpetuity at this point. Internet.

omg, no. Don't make me crave Tim's. I'm all the way in southern California, thousands of miles away from a Timmy's, and now you're revealing they have pumpkin donuts this time of year?!! You cruel, cruel person.

This comment really speaks to me on a personal level.

I get that you have your head up your own ass and can't seem to understand me saying "I get what I did and I don't care" so yes, I guess I get your point.

Actually, you said that my comment was indeed "rather offensive" - not that it could be, but that it was, and rather so! That's a pretty far cry from letting someone know they're committing a minor faux pas that personally affects you.

I understand that, and I like I said, I don't care. I might have, if you'd have asked nicely for clarification, but you quickly revealed yourself to be a defensive smoker who assumed I was being judgmental of everyone who smokes just because I didn't explicitly say "some". I get my words matter (because they

I could believe that yeah, there are totally some people out there who cry in an effort to bend wills - crocodile tears, anyone? - but I have never, ever in my life actually met one of these fabled half-reptile people. I'm in the "fuck crying" camp. It's so messy and inconvenient and makes talking/communicating hard.

There isn't an "all" in there. I just made a general comment related to the behavior shown in the story. You sure are buttchafed about someone not wanting to footnote and candy-coat an offhand comment.

I never said I meant anyone other than the people that did exactly that.

They're really the most clueless, aren't they? When I confronted my ex about his abusive behavior, he got angry at me and threatened to cut me out of his life if I ever brought it up again. (Thankfully, I beat him to the punch on that - pardon the expression.)
