So much. It certainly was the first place where embracing those attitudes and behaviors resulted in immediate positive praise, at least in my life.

Reports say the student missed a “voluntary workout”, which led his coach to impose this punishment at the next workout. Which makes me, as someone who never played high school football, wonder why coaches go apeshit at players for missing *voluntary* activities. THAT’S the infraction that would prompt a coach to…
It just makes me wonder how much of the toxic masculinity in this country derives straight from sports in general and football in particular.
“de Fondaumière reportedly looked at the judges and asked, “But I’m not under oath, so can I lie?””
Smooth.
It sounds like “the point” is to try to make the show we have in our heads, which is kind of a fun idea. If you just looked back on He-Man with nostalgia goggles, without re-watching an episode, what do you think it was?
Yeah, not defending the money he made; companies just like throwing around huge figures as if that's the actual cost of piracy.
Look, if we start doing “Famous person took part in institution that turned out to be hella racist” takes we’re going to be here forever because, spoiler alert, most white institutions in America are hella racist.
As much as I support keeping old games alive via emulation, especially for games that we all know are never going to see a rerelease, everything this guy in particular did seemed to be stupid decisions.
I don’t believe in any Biblical eye-for-an-eye justice. In my mind, there are only three overlapping reasons to lock someone away:
Still, Sheeley went on to say that Franklin wasn’t taking her medication because she was pregnant and she worried about how it might affect her child,
All the bullshit I have to do in order to save some people trapped in a tavern on the coast of the Ruby Tide Sea, when I could have just busted the damn door down myself and I would have made sure the Imperial viceroy didn’t just get to waltz out of there.
and that repeating “God Bless America” twice instead would be “more poignant than the original and also makes your point in a more elegant way.”
I don't trust any animal capable of killing me. That's why I have a cat and two guinea pigs. Even all together they couldn't take me out.
Hmmpf. Don’t insult the dogs by comparing them to Republicans. I can understand the younger one’s freakout....the number of people he’s interacting with daily has gone up by a couple orders of magnitude; his mom’s super-busy; his dad comes home from work smelling of all sorts of weird strangers. I’ll give him the…
CP being good (and I maintain it’s not) isn’t even part of it’s success, it sold millions in pre-orders. You don’t do that with quality, you do that with hype, and it was pretty much the most hyped game ever.
At least that means the Bloodlines games will be consistent.
I look forward to Jason Schreier eventually finding out what the hell went wrong
I think the thing to keep in mind is that it’s very easy to make one mistake, especially since the game tries to trick you at points by having characters volunteer for jobs they’re not good at, or downplay the risks.
