I suppose it depends on who the "random doofus" is, and how actually random (or not) it is, now doesn't it?

I liked her best when she was doing more rock/pop with attitude, but she's sorta gone down the path of the pop-teen idol, which I think was great for two albums, but I wish she'd return to the electric guitar-based stuff, or at least veer away from the dance stuff — it's not really her.

Prism is worth picking up.

Dark Horse, Wide Awake, Firework, Waking Up in Vegas.

I dunno, listened to the album a few times now, and it really feels as if her voice is WAY pushed back in the mix compared to her previous albums. Lots of buzz effects and overlays that just don't work — she's best when her voice is front and center. Also, there's an attractive dorkiness/corny/nerdy quality to Katy
