*shudder*

I’d been dyeing my hair black for 10 years and then all of a sudden my head started blistering every time. Of course, me being the vain bitch I was I continued to suffer through a blistered head to have black hair for 5 years until this year. Now it’s grey hair don’t care! Yay!

I have combination skin, so maybe I should just use it on my t-zone? I also am very weary of anything that ends in “cone”. I try to avoid all the silicone stuff, but it’s so hard. It’s in everything! Which of the Vit C products did you try?

So far I have the Alpha Arbutin, Niacinamide, Buffet and Azelaic Acid. I use the all but the Azelaic acid regularly. And the age spots I have are going away and my skin looks better than it ever has. You really can’t beat the price. I am waiting for their toner and Vitamin C to come back in stock too. I’m like you, I

Hate to be the bearer of bad news but PPD or p-Phenylenediamine is used in 99% of hair dye today. A lot of people have bad reactions to it (waves hand). Google PPD reaction pictures. People who dye their hair and have no reaction for years and one day dye their hair and can have a horrible allergic reaction.

Now playing

For skincare recently (Vit C, Retinoids, Hyaluronics, Niacinamides, etc.) I’ve been buying them from theordinary.com. The are inexpensive and work great. And I watch gothamista on youtube to explain how everything works. And if I’ve said all this before, forgive me. I really like these products. This is a link to her

Late to the game, long day, but after the story on 60 Minutes a few months ago about Syrian refugees I really felt like I wanted to do something to help if I could. I googled and searched and found the only local place that was doing outreach and I wrote to them and asked if I could volunteer to help out in some way.

The way things are going, that’s pretty likely.

Good news. We’re all gonna die!

I love the Hot Ones and I’ve seen every episode!

If I should make it to 80, I plan to go out like Maude. Oops! Spoiler alert.

Thanks!

And I just adore your name.

I will stop whatever I’m doing and watch that movie. That and Silence of the Lambs. And Amelie. And Harold and Maude. I’ve got some fucked up tastes in movies.

I don’t think my husband is interested in watching it and my daughter has already seen it and is severely traumatized by it. I am not watching it alone. Maybe someday I can trick a friend into watching it with me. If I do and it’s horrible, I’m sleeping at your place!

Well it’s clear that I’m a wimp, I hate to even ask what Raw is. The trailer for Babadook still scares me.

That’s great. It will be so much easier if you have someone you feel comfortable with. She sounds really awesome. Wish she had been my doctor! :) High five for respecting women’s choices! I wish you all the pain free surgery and minimal scarring. No more periods is awesome. No more cramps! Yay! Oh, I forgot. You will

I’m old and I don’t like scary movies so my favorites are An American Werewolf in London and Rosemary’s Baby. Oh and Battle Royale was pretty good. I’ve been tempted to watch Babadook but there’s probably not enough Ambien in the world for me to ever sleep again after that.

I have no doubt you can get through it. They’ll make sure you aren’t hurting. I was worried about it too. It was the first time for me too, a BIG surgery. And the scar didn’t keloid really. I have one over my left breast where a port went in that did keloid, but the hysterectomy one didn’t. I’m sure they’ll have blood

I was 32ish when I had an old school hysterectomy for endometriosis (they left my ovaries). My tubes had been tied years before, long story. There’s going to be some down time, a bit of pain, a long scar at the pubic line. It was the best surgery I ever had. I don’t regret it a bit. I think I had to stay one night in
