I think of my house as a house.

Based on recent experiences and stories I have heard from other job seekers, I have become convinced that recruiting is the current refuge of people too dumb to do any other job.

Damn. I just bought a couple of sweaters from Kit and Ace. I didn’t realize it was him. I need to set up a CEO tracking system, before I wind up buying something from Dov, inadvertently.

I disagree with the linked article’s assertions about fonts. Calibri is a font that is not included in iOS or Android operating systems. Thus, if a job candidate sends his or her resume as a .doc file in Calibri, most mobile devices will substitute a different font which can cause issues with the resume’s rendering

Thoughts on adding a URL (or TinyURL) to the top of your resume that links to a mobile-formatted version of it?

“Can we do it online? Is there an app yet?”

BUT logically speaking, if the units were made up of dragged soldiers split 50/50 men and women, there is every chance the sexual assults rate would plummit because of a) decrease in macho culture bullshit and b) the large number of women in barracks around to go “ha, no, you can’t do that”.

I was thinking about this yesterday. At this point if a draft was needed - in a WWII like situation - both men and women would be needed. Our military is better when it’s voluntary and it’s unlikely a draft would ever be needed but let’s treat men and women equally.

This is precisely why women can’t be SEALs. Their periods put the whole team at risk for a shark attack!

They're going to attract bears!

I feel like they expect women all over the country to clutch their pearls as they loudly gasp, “No!” and fall upon their fainting couches, when really most people will be like, “Yup, sounds fair, you gonna mail that to me, or. . . ?”

As a woman, it is hard to argue for equality without agreeing that women should have to register. So bring it on. Give us the same rights and requirements as men.

So the one-page resume rule can go out the window? I can’t reconcile my print design with these suggestions without it gaining some length.

This is true. There is no depth to Ben. He just hasn’t lived enough, you know? Jubilee has lived a lot more. Ben will be happy with a basic, sweet Lauren Something for a few months before announcing the break up on People magazine and do promo stuff for a couple more years and that will be his Bachelor story. I really

I thought the same about him when, IIRC, on their first date when she was telling him about her biological family and trying to explain the survivor’s remorse she felt, he just didn't seem to get it.

Yep- this is exactly what my bf said last night. She was very uncomfortable in a very-uncomfortable-by-nature situation, which makes her a human. A beautiful, smart, genuine human who served our country and is a veteran at the age of 24. She will end up with someone with way more to offer her than 48 conversations

I always feel like I’m overshadowed by the Lauren B.s and the Beccas

This might just be projecting, since these shows are so heavily edited, but I got the sense that Ben really, REALLY likes Lauren B. He also seems to need a lot of reassurance and validation, and he doesn’t want to feel hesitation from his dates. (When the other girls were praising his handling of various situations,

“I, uh, as I was writing down [his name], my pen ran out of ink,”

I actually think Caila would be a fantastic bachelorette.
