I threw a halloween party on Saturday and my roommate (who runs in a different crowd) invited a bunch of people who showed up as things like "sexy eeyore". I almost threw them out.

This creeps me out with direct family members too. Thank goodness I'm short because they usually can't reach me if I just tilt my head down.

Yes!

My initial reaction was similar, but maybe they needed to get someone who has a bit more name recognition to lead? Haven't watched yet, but it seems like it could be at least part of the reason.

On one of our first dates, my ex wore a polo shirt, gym shorts, sandals, and dress socks. By the end of our 2.5+ year relationship he had purchased a suit (and loved to get dressed up and wear it) and wore primarily well-fitting button downs. Never asked him to change what he wore, he never got rid of anything he

Not only is it dumb, but they made 6 different versions for different races...

Ah yes, but vanity sizing affects everyone now! Everyone wants to feel thin! This article measures the actual waistband of a size 36 waist at various stores: http://www.esquire.com/blogs/mens-fas… Old Navy, a 36 is actually 41"

This would make my Chromebook perfect. YES PLEASE.

As far as I understood it, it was 1 month emergency savings liquid, 2-5 more months worth invested. But then again, your case seems to absolutely need cash, since your field isn't full time work, so you need it more. The investment strategy puts your 2-5 months at risk with the expectation that unless you're laid off,

This is it! As someone who is horrible at sticking to a budget (but decently good at stopping buying dumb stuff when my bank account balance is low) moving savings on payday has been key. It's gone before I ever see it.

Can't remember where I saw it but it stuck with me. 1 month of expenses should be in a savings account, if you've got more than that in your emergency fund then investing can get you much better returns. You need to keep a good portion of it liquid in case you need it *now*

I'm still young and have dodged most mistakes, but this is one: Start contributing to your 401k immediately after starting my job. Turning down that company match for the first year is the same as taking a voluntary pay cut.

Once again Jezebel, you've timed it just right. Just spent a solid lunch hour looking at my ex's facebook and sobbing. This is why my office mates take me seriously.

I have a pretty intense dislike for the death anniversary status. Especially since I've been essentially forced into doing it myself. I really don't like being a dick and being the only person in my family not posting something.

Everything but the water damage to your belongings is completely the landlords fault! To deal with stuff like damage to your stuff (even if it was because of the landlord's negligence) you should invest in renter's insurance. I've got a $5000 policy which costs me about $60 a year and although its not much, it would

A bunch of people have been mentioning the idea of having a certain amount of stars/upvotes/love from other commenters be a way to get out of the greys. Fingers crossed we get this in a future update.

Personally I picked a gym that has cable. Getting to go watch mindless TV on the elliptical gets me to show up.

I read all this and feel a lot of sympathy for people who are tiny (who are the ones suffering from vanity sizing) but honestly, I'm flirting at the obesity line and I enjoy having a larger range of clothing options. If there wasn't vanity sizing I would be a solid 14 in stores (the highest, or next to highest).

I walk in circles around my apartment like a crazy person. My boyfriend worries about me, but for reasons of sanity not safety :)
